Which service centre?

I see most people write the address of their service centre on the cover letter, letter of intent and other documents when filing their I129f packet. It is even on the example cover letter on this site. How do you know what service center to use? I thought you only found out once it has been sent and processing starts. Should I just use the NVC address?

Like above, you send it to either one of the two Lockbox addressed in Texas depending on Fedex, UPS or USPS.

Then it will be forwarded to the appropriate service center. Most likely in California.

My understanding is that Lockbox is not all the same as Service Centre. And yeah, all 129F go to Texas lockbox (exact address  changes depending on if you use courier, or USPS) but from then it get assigned to either California, or Texas service centre.

As far as I know, all K-1s go to California (my understanding is that this changed a few years ago when California was processing them much more quickly than Texas). Some cases involving waivers or criminal backgrounds get transferred to Vermont (so even though Vermont's processing times are faster, you don't want your case there).

But the point here is that for a K-1 petition you don't have a choice about where it's processed. They're always filed at the same location, and the people at the lockbox decide what to do with it next.

None of the k1 applications go to Texas service center, they are sent to the Dallas lockbox (which you can put as the address on cover letter and letter of intent) and then at this moment all k1 application apart from a small percentage that will get transferred to Vermont, goes to California service center.

overall No K1 goes to Texas service center.
