Hey all,
Just hoping to get some help and support on my case.

My wife is American, I am Italian, and we have both been living in Canada for over 3 years.

-Interview Date for Green Card 12-JUNE-2018

At the interview the lady said I passed and that I would get the card soon after (it could take from few days to a few weeks) we sent in some more documents, so I had to leave my passport there.

The consulate required more documents from my wife to show she was serious about moving back to the US

-Documents sent on 15-JUNE-2018

-Received by consulate on JUNE 27- Update status to "AP"

After a few weeks we started calling (no one picks up) and emailing

-AUGUST 6 case update - still AP

-AUGUST 20 we went to the US consulate in Vancouver (where we live) to see if they could give us a direct line to talk to the US consulate in Montreal, no help.

-AUGUST 21 case update - still AP

We have no idea how long will my case be in AP and when I'll get my passport back.

Any info from other people would be appreciated! We are so frustrated and desperate!

My Interview with my wife as the primary applicant for EB3 Category was on June 7th. They have asked my resume and transcripts. Sent both on 12th June. Still under Administrative Processing, it is 10 weeks now. Don't know what to do. When I sent email, I am getting the same template message. I did a congressional enquiry as well, but there is no difference and saying it is under Administrative Processing. Looks like Montreal is doing this for most naturalized citizen cases. My wife and children got Visa and wife moved to US due to work related compelsion.

In a very bad situation, don't know what to do and how to proceed.

Is there anyone recently had Administrative Processing completed recently? How much time it is taking on an average?

@SSeb My god, we are both in such a terrible situation.

I'd love to know how long people have been waiting for as well. 8-10 weeks is an awful long wait.
This is what I've received from the US consulate today:

The case is currently been reviewed by a consular officer. The adjudication process might take a little longer at this time since the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal is currently experiencing a considerable volume of cases to review. We are doing our best to process this application as fast as possible. The Visa Unit will inform you as soon as the review is complete and provide you further details regarding the status of this visa application.

We realize that these extended time periods cause frustration to many individuals, and we are sensitive to the fact that the purpose of the immigrant visa program is to facilitate legitimate travel to the U.S.  Nonetheless, the Consulate in Montreal, like all U.S. Embassies and Consulates, must adjudicate visas in accordance with the provisions of the law, and, in some cases, this involves extensive consular review and administrative processing.  While we cannot predict when the processing of your visa will be completed, please be assured that the Consulate and the State Department are aware of your concerns and will contact you as soon as the processing is complete.

We hope that this information is helpful in replying to your inquiry.
