unfortunately, as fr as i know... thats all you can do :(

Some cases take them a very long and frustrating and unfair amount of time.

Are there any red flags of any kind to try and help explain why it might take so long?

Unfortunately, there is nothing else you can do.....except wait for an answer from USCIS or your Senator.

I wish they teal me whay is this so long. And what they are doing.Because it is really not easy see people after 3 month after me get noa2.

You might try both options below.

First try shooting off an email to the Ombudsman at cisombudsman@HQ.DHS.GOV The Ombudsman provides an impartial and independent perspective to USCIS in an attempt to resolve problems.

Second try your U.S. representative's contact information can be found in this handy directory, and your U.S. senator's information is in this one.

If you receive a response and it contains anyone of these sentences this will be the meaning of that phrase.

If the CSC response is due to a congressional case worker inquiry, the service center will say "security checks"

If the CSC response is from a regular service inquiry from their website, the service center will say "adjudication"

And this is what they are doing.

RE: I-129F Case

USCIS records confirm that the referenced case is pending background check clearance. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely manner while also ensuring public safety and national security. A small percentage of applications and petitions have unresolved background check issues that temporarily delay adjudication. Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check will be completed.

If a background check reveals an issue that may impact an applicant’s eligibility for the requested immigration benefit, further inquiry is needed. The inquiry may include an additional interview and/or contact with another agency for updates or more comprehensive information. Upon gathering and assessing all available information, USCIS will adjudicate the application as quickly as possible.

USCIS realizes that the constituent may be frustrated by the progress of their case. However, the agency must balance individual inconvenience against broader issues of public safety and national security.

No don’t think about that. Your call to them is recorded everytime. So give them a ring most preferably in the morning or late afternoon. Ask for a transfer to a tier 2 and ask him/her about your case. In the event you can’t get a definite answer, try calling again. Don’t stop til you get some enlightenment.

Hello,

I have read recently that sometimes these delays occur, as at USCIS they do the initial background checks. The response time is dependent on the country of the beneficiary. Try to keep it mind it may not be that there is something wrong, it may be that there hasn't been a response from your home country with regards to the background check, or they have been able to complete this part right now. This may take a bit more time than other countries. I hope you get an answer soon.

I-129F Submitted: 01 November 2017NOA1 Received: 03 November 2017NOA2 Received: 22 May 2018 | NVC Received: 08 June 2018 | Consulate Received: 06 July 2018 | Medical: 27 July 2018 | Interview: 10 August 2018 (APPROVED) | VISA in Hand: 22 August 2018 | POE: 28 September 2018 :joy:
