Adjustment of status application filed after the k1 visa lapse

Hello.. i am on a k1 visa from the Philippines. 

What happens when my K1 visa lapse and we haven't filed our AOS yet.. for the reason that we have not yet receive the marriage certificate and the k1 visa will expire soon. Thank you for your reply.

As long as you married within the 90 days from POE, you can do AOS based on that marriage at any time...just pickup where you left off.

At the same time, after the 90 days have expired and you haven't filed for AOS, you would be illegally in the US and potentially deportable. Once you file for AOS you would be granted authorized stay while the AOS application is pending.

As @geowrian stated, as long as you married within the initial 90 day time frame you can still file for AOS without issue; but as noted after the I-94 expires you will be out of status and technically able to be deported(unlikely to happen but is possible) so make sure to file as soon as you can.

Oooh my.. but that is 90 days from the time i arrived in the US right? Form I 94 is AOS am i right?

Really nothing to stress about honestly. Just get your documents together and file as soon as you can. A lot of people for over their I-94 date by a few days. We did.
