You can actually pick it up at the airport as well.

but make sure the CFO office is open if you try that!  I had a friend who thought that would be the easy way and no one was it the CFO desk so she missed her flight.  They have hours posted but that doesn't mean that they will be there!

The OP can go to CFO without an appointment if she has her certificate and visa in her passport.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

How do you find out if that CFO desk is open at the airport and if someone is there?  Would it just be better and safer to go get it from the actual CFO place before the flight instead?

They have hours posted but it is basically a two person desk.  They have hours posted but unless you give them a very wide window I strongly suggest just going to the office for the stamp.  I believe on my last two trips the CFO desk was empty as they were on "break".  You can certainly get lucky and catch them but I wouldn't take the chance.

Ok, I understand.  Thanks for the clarification.  We will definitely go back by the office to make sure we get that stamp beforehand.

Yes you can go to CFO anytime to get the sticker, no appt needed.

As for getting the sticker at the airport, you do have to call a couple days in advance to arrange this.   To me the airport is not the most ideal situation unless the CFO office is not close to you.

CFO - Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Office

CFO NAIA: 632-879-5685 or 02-879-5685  (Offices are open from 5am - midnight)

  • CFO NAIA desk is at terminal one.. beside TIEZA travel tax desk.. between the entrance doors with the x-ray / conveyor machines..
  • CFO counter is next to the travel tax counter in terminal 2, up front of the departure area
  • CFO sticker at Terminal 3 on the 3rd Floor at the CFO office

Most times you will have to pay the travel tax at the airport, exception being if it was included with the airfare or paid online.

TRAVEL TAX

Before exiting the Philippines (after receiving the visa and CFO sticker in your passport) there is Travel Tax to be paid.  This can be paid at the locations listed in the link below

http://tieza.gov.ph/travel-tax/

Locations for paying Travel Tax:   http://tieza.gov.ph/travel-tax/directory-of-travel-tax-offices/

Online payment option:   https://traveltax.tieza.gov.ph/
