K-1 Visa Police Clearance Requirements

I know this questions has been asked to death, but my fiance and I want to get a good handle on how to deal with it. We are still waiting for her interview date. She worked in Singapore and Taiwan previously. She worked first in Taiwan from 2009-2012. Followed next by working in Singapore for 6 months in 2014.

  1. Does anyone have any direct knowledge or experience in obtaining police clearances from these two countries?
  2. If so, what is the process and procedure for obtaining them?
  3. Does anyone know how the US Embassy handles this if you are unable to obtain the clearances? I.e., I've read earlier posts that it can be next to impossible to get it from Singapore. What is the best recommendation for this?
  4. How soon or how far in advance should we try to get them? I want to prepare for the interview process.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. We're doing ouer best to anticipate and prepare for everything, and I appreciate anyone's constructive input.

Here is a link tor info for obtaining a police clearance.   Just select your country in question.

Both Singapore and Taiwan clearances can be obtained.   As for finer details on how it was done, find some of the earlier topics and read

If you don't have a police clearance that is required .. you don't get the visa.

Some can take 6-8 weeks.

Hank thanks for the help, but visa reciprocity is not applicable for a K1. This is my second marriage using a K1. I was married before in 1997, and know the rules have changed. I'm needing up to date info. All earlier posts are too ambiguous, so I need to see if anyone recently has gone through this.

Yes the visa reciprocity does apply with the K-1 as it is processed as an immigrant visa.

And like said there are some recent posting on the topic of a police clearance from Singapore that should be very informative as to the process.
