Realistically...time between interview, and visa in hand?

In the past couple of months....(And yes I know...every case is different) ….  what are people experiencing, assuming a smooth and approved interview, on time between interview and visa delivered to their home.

 

As our interview fast approaches....I would like to know about when I can plan on wrapping my arms around my fiancée again.

There are literally thousands of topics asking this question.   Everyone wants to know .. and the answer is never different ... 

 

And as you already know from your posting - it depends .. 

 

From ISSUED status on the CEAC website,  it can be 5-10 business days.

I had my interview May 15,2018... Visa (K1 visa) on hand May 22,2018... exactly 1 week

Thank you for the information.... I was hoping for an answer like that...(nice and short time).

 

Did you get any notification....when it was given to the courier?

2go Courier will be the one to deliver the passport with Visa.. and they have a tracker in their website.. tracking number is either your passport number or case number.. check the screenshot I attached

I was aware of that....but how do you know when to check?  You get some sort of notification that it has been sent....so you can start tracking?  Either from Embassy....or 2GO?

No.. I didn’t get any notification. First I  regularly Check the CEAC status (Visa Status check) in ceac.state.gov then as soon as the status changed to ISSUED.. I regularly started to check 2go tracking..

8 calander days from date of interview until receiving the visa for us, in northern Luzon.  But it had an error, so we had to send it back and wait again.

For our CR-1 it was just under a week including a holiday. 

 

6/7 interview

6/8 issued

6/11 or 12 was a holiday

6/13 visa in hand (picked up at 2Go makati as we lived in Makati)
