You're telling me someone can't get a job because he's CANADIAN? Seriously you've got to live in bumblefcuk to experience prejudice against Canadians. Other Brazilians have not been having trouble getting similar jobs in less populous areas, so you might want to check on your wife's strategy a little more.

Oh I'm not surprised at all actually. What, you don't think theres a hiring bias here in the US? It happens every fu@king day!!! Why do you think the labor laws have become so extensive here for people who are employed? because of the constant harassment, sexual and other that women and minorities had to endure here for so many years. All management in my company goes to required harassment training and it's amazing at what the law now considers harassment and how a seemingly small comment can cause someone to at least be written up by HR, if not fired or sued.

Two weeks ago a hiring director in charge of a finance department at a particular broadcasting company made a comment during my wifes interview that she doubted my wife could could even write English despite the fact my wife speaks perfect English. The problem is my wife and this women where the only two people in the room and my wife was not an employee or else I'd have sued her personally, AND WON. Maybe the woman doesn't realize she's in America, a nation of immigrants and NOT ameriKKKa.

My wife and I also plenty of people who are having similar experiances. Somehow I doubt everyone is just having bad luck.

In the meantime we are sending out resumes, cover and follow up letters tweaked for the positions that are professionally written and two recruiters have also been a big help

Gimme a break. How would they even know he (or she) was Canadian?

The accents are so similar, not many people can tell the difference.

The recruiters are asking people to say the word "about" before starting the interview...

Jura?

But most of the people from Quebec speak English as a first language as well...

I stand corrected, most Quebecois don't speak English natively. (and according to the French not even French)

Not getting a job in the US because they are Canadian is just very unlikely

the canadians have a government?

Yes, they are also governed by a kind old lady...

The same one that tried to break into that kids house in Illinois...

kind old ladies don't break into a house, maybe a crack ho does.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
