Extension of Green Card while in ROC

The only place I found information regarding an expired RC-1 Green Card while ROC is in process was in the FAQ in an entry from 2006, that is a long time ago and it may be outdated.

Where can I find current or recent information on how long the expired green card pending ROC is extended? How can I travel abroad with an expired green card pending ROC? 

I noticed the average waiting period as per USCIS is 18 months in California, so if the extension is for 12 months? what do I do after a year to get obtain an additional extension?

Note: Our NOA for ROC application is missing (I-797C).

Once you receive the extension letter you can travel abroad with your green card with no problem.you must have this letter. They were issuing 12 months but because of the increase in processing time they are issuing 18 month letters. Check out the boards removal of conditions- lots and lots of info there

If you have misplaced your NOA letter that provides your extention, and you want to travel outside the country, you will need to make an infopass appointment and have your passport stamped.

Thank you, initially I searched the FAQ and then I started to find more information in the other threads, I found an old link to Customs and Border Patrol that addresses this issue but is broken, so I am trying to find the current one.
