Hello everybody, I have some question about my situation. I have been married to my spouse for a year and a half. 2 months ago and both agree on filing for divorce because we fight a lot and can't go forward together. I just received the divorce paperwork from her and it say ''dissolution'' instead of divorce. My first question is, does a dissolution divorce will still give me the right to ask for a divorce waiver and if it's giving me the same chance. Dissolution is like an annulment from what I heard and I want to make sure that it's not going to give me trouble at the end when I will ask for a divorce waiver.

My second question is, asking my future ex spouse an affidavit explaining that our relationship didn't work and that she want to help me from getting my waiver. Is it first worth it for my situation and does she have to make a long Affidavit or she can just explain in a few sentences.

thank you for your help I really appreciate

A dissolution petition is not filed with the court until the parties have reached an agreement on all the issues that must be addressed in a divorce matter. ... The end result of both a divorce and a dissolution of marriage is the same: the marriage is terminated

Its the same as any other divorce. You need the final decree.
