I612 received by USCIS June 22, 2017

RFE in December, response sent right away 

in February USCIS shows case is on hold pending secondary opinion, but DOS does not show 612/613 as received documents 

followed up with USCIS trying to escalate, response says “USCIS is pending opinion from DOS before we can make a decision” 

email DOS, they say they are pending 612/613 from USCIS

 

case pending for almost 14 months. Tried calling USCIS and verifying if they had actually sent 612/613, everyone keeps telling me that they don’t have to send anything anywhere and that uscis officer will make a decision soon. No idea what to do... try to escalate again? Any ideas please? Anyone in the same situation?

Nope... they extended the normal processing times to 15.5 months and I was only able to submit another servicing request last Saturday. Not holding my breath on that one either. 

 

Ive been seeing in other threads that people have been receiving recommendations from DOS but they are actually for a different applicant - seems like they are mixing up people’s case numbers and putting docs under wrong cases that don’t belong to those people. I’m terrified and don’t know what to do. I emailed DOS expressing my worries that my docs might have been lost or misplaced and they said “until we receive your forms from USCIS there is nothing we can do”. They have been absolutely zero help even though they know there’s a chance they could have misplaced my paperwork since that has been happening lately. 

 

Im not sure what to do at this point. My employer offers immigration lawyers for free if needed, and there’s always the congressman’s office. So I might go to them. 

 

Are you in a similar situation?

No, I'm in the beginning and your post scared me because I only have 12 months left in my visa and I don't know how I could extend that, I assume they won't give me a tourist visa because I'm married.
