That's good to hear. But I hadn't seen much of Knightsbridge getting a bad rap. I had my medical in November 2016 and apart from the eye-watering prices (but they need to pay that London rent somehow), I didn't have any complaints. What have people been complaining about lately? It's a shame if the service and exierience is poor because applicants have no other choice when it comes to the medical. It's Knightsbridge or no visa.

I would say that the only negative thing I have seen happening is the length of time it is taking to get the medical results to the embassy.  This started when the embassy moved and at first it seemed maybe due to adjustments at the embassy to get the received files sorted in the weeks after the move. Now it is somewhat evident to me that Knightsbridge is taking a long time to get the files sent.

For all the years I have been on VJ, Knightsbridge would have the files to the embassy in 4-5 days at most unless they had to wait on further information from the client. Sometimes it was only 3 days when the medical was on a Monday or Tuesday.  Now it's 14 days if you're lucky. Also appointments were easily available same week you called or at least the following week. So what has happened to the efficiency at Knightsbridge?

This link http://www.visamedicals.info/us-bring.asp that took you to their website is no longer valid. Do you remember there was a second location on Basil Street? Most visa medicals had shifted to the Bentinck location except for a few occasions when the x-ray machine at Bentinck broke and between Christmas an New Year when some were sent to Basil St.

This website http://www.knightsbridge-doctors.com/immigration.htm I found with Google has a similar look and is for the Basil location only. If you look at "immigration" they only do medicals for Australia and New Zealand. It looks like maybe they split the practice. Does that explain the sudden inefficiency at Bentinck with paperwork and how much longer it takes to get an appointment? Are they suddenly short-staffed or have money problems and can't pay for a full staff?

Knightsbridge are rather slow. I could have had my visa in hand already if it wasn’t for the massive delay of actually getting a medical. I waited over 30 days-no need for such a delay especially as they have raised medical prices! Think they should invest in hiring an extra doctor! However, I’m in no rush to leave the UK! Mid-End Sept works fine for me for an interview ☺️

Hi, I am currently waiting for my NOA2 but am trying to get ahead of the game. Trying to obtain my vaccination history from the NHS is a ball ache but I have seen elsewhere on these forums that I shouldn’t be preoccupied with it. However, I have just seen mention of high costs from the only clinic you’re allowed to go to. How much are we talking about? This is something I hadn’t finanically factored in at all.

Oh don’t talk about the NHS! The medical costs £330 in total. Now this doesn’t include any top up of boosters or vaccinations you are missing. I’m lucky mine were all up to date. This is a price list should you need any further vaccinations

For vaccination records/medical summaries you should gain access to these from your GP. I just went to reception and asked. I’m lucky I didn’t need any top up and was up to date. Hope this helps

Does anyone know the opening times for the 02074867822 line? Is it the same as the offices?

I called at 4:40pm and have been caller number 2 since then (35 mins now) so I’m assuming they just don’t answer the phone after about 4:30pm even if they are open 🙄

Nevermind. I just realised this is the number for the other office. Annoying they don’t answer the phone when they are still ‘open’ though. They should at least tell the people on hold that it’s closed now and to hang up 🙄

Thanks very much for this valuable information. I have been trying to obtain my vaccination history for the past 6 weeks. My GP and my previous GP have next to nothing of my records and the only way to obtain it is through Primary Care Support England BUT it has to be at the command of your current GP, since, you cannot make this request. And my current GP is hopeless. I am chasing them up all the time. Today they said it may be quicker to get every vaccination as if I have never had it, which is completely impractical and could take months.

Oh, I’m not based in England and from N Ireland so don’t know much about Primary Care Support England. This is not the first time I’ve heard of this on here about people not easily getting the info they need from GP’s. Seems ridiculous.

I think the best thing to do is go to reception staff as they printed it there and then for me and it took only 2 minutes if even. You have the right to access your records. And in regards to your vaccinations they should know what you have had in the past. Why pay for vaccinations you may already have had in the past? Best thing is to try landing in and speaking to reception staff or going higher to contact the practice manager.

The larger issue being that my records on my GP’s system are incomplete. As they were at my previous GP. Somewhere along the line a GP hasn’t sent over the records. So my current vaccination history is a Tetanus shot in the 90s. And that’s it. Hence why I can only obtain my history via Primary Care via my GP. I am sure it will be sorted eventually. It will have to be. So, did you have to travel to Knightbridge for your medical or is there somewhere in NI that could facilitate it?

It worked out well for me as the earliest availability for Knightsbridge (when i enquired in mid-July) was mid-Aug for Knightsbridge. I had booked a hol in August anyways so killed two birds with one stone and had my medical last Friday. If thats the case I'd organise/choose whether to get your vaccinations done at Knightsbridge or anywhere else if possible. Do what you can I guess is right for you. When is your medical?

Hi Everyone,

I have a quick question. Do you have a choice of being seen by female doctors? I have heard that they only have male doctors.. I mean is that even possible ?

Thanks for any info!

Hey! Yes this is possible! When you book your medical exam you should request this so that they can give you a date according to availability.
