Well thank you Faisal1 for this optimistic and encouraging post lol 😅

@Yarega dont worry, it will probably not take that long, some in May/June/July are still waiting. It all depends on how long a background check takes and how slow or fast a worker does the job. Don't worry.

Yes its encouraging but its not good same time.  You know 402 days and paid alot of money for that as well

I just thought of this but I got a divorce a few days after I was engaged to my new fiancé. I had been separated from my ex for only 4 months. I gave the USCIS a copy of my official divorce decree. My fiancé and I have met in person 4 times in 7 months and gave lots of photo/chat evidence as well as affidavits from friends and family talking about our relationship and letters of intent. Will my prior relationship raise any red flags? 😕 I never thought I’d get into another relationship so fast but we’ve been together a year now. He’s English and lives in England. Thanks!

My lawyer told me all that they care about is the proof of relationship. I was concerned about something similar.

Ok my attorney said the same thing. This waiting super sucks :( I know I’m whining like crazy but I miss my fiancé so much. Trying to stay strong and positive.

I have spent a lot of time crying these last few weeks, just praying to get to an approval soon. We have been lucky and get to see each other often (about every 4-8 weeks, but have gone 5 months once  without seeing each other in the last two years). We live on Skype, sleep on Skype, and I even take the him (the tablet) to visit friends and family with me on Skype. But it’s never enough. It’s nothing like when we can be together. I understand your longing. I will pray for you along with all the others. Good things will come. It’s just hard to be patient.

We were doing snail mail and long distance phone calls by me using prepaid cards way back in our relationship.  We live on Facetime, iMessage & FB Messenger, but we are grateful of all these online things  😎 Praying for everyones approvals 🙏

I feel ya, my fiance and I also live and sleep on Skype (the only time we're not in a call is if we're at work, one of us has to go out to run errands, or there's a power outage). We're lucky that we both enjoy video games, anime, and have a similar taste in movies so we have something to do over the distance, but I haven't seen him in person for over a year now so it's been really hard (thought we could hold out a little longer so he could build military leave for the move and future wedding but it's been so much longer than we anticipated) 😥

Mine was I needed more evidence to prove we met within 2 years with transactions etc.

May I ask what you originally provided as evidence?

It’s how we met! We sing so well together that we became best friends and fell in love.

That is adorable! I don't think karaoke is something my fiance and I would try right now but maybe after we've had some more in-the-car sing-alongs 😂

It should not send any red flags.  I was married over 10 years but we were separated over half that time.  My fiancé and I have been living together here in the Philippines for over 3 years now.  I was officially divorced in July 2018 and I filed my petition August 2018.  As long as you can show you are divorced and none of the paperwork is dated during the time you were still legally married.
