Don't count on it, I checked it religiously and nothing changed, I received my NOA2 by mail on saturday. Good luck.

I've seen a lot of people say they got their NOA2 in the mail and nothing updated on the online portals. Has anyone received notification on the New site and not the Old site? I've also seen responses the other way around, but just curious.

I received notification on the old site first. Then the new site the next day. I received the Hard copy 2 days after I received notice from old site.

Well, us. But not a notification, just logged in and status changed to 'Approved Jan 2nd' like 3 am European time Jan 4th. Hard copy NOA2 12/31 appeared on Informed Delivery Jan 5th (fiance was out of the country and visiting me). Old site still 'Received'. Go figure

I've been checking here on VJ timelines and I'm seeing a few folks who received their NOA2 around December 27-28th and they show that NVC received their visa apps on January 10th. 

 

Our NOA2 was Jan 2nd. So, I called yesterday but they had not yet received it and gave me the 6 week schpeel. 

 

Anyone here in the August group received NOA2 and had their visa app received by NVC yet? 

I called them last night (NOA2 Dec 27), and they told me they received the case, but case was not assigned yet. Took 17 days. I am updating the January NOA2 to NVC thread.

Do you think it's a good idea to call for a case status update? I have seen people who have called, and said the representative told them they were approved. Rather than checking the websites

I called a couple days ago and they basically told me they couldn’t tell me anything and everything I would need to know is on the site, I’m still waiting for my noa2 , it’s been 5 months since I received NOA1

All I can tell you is my experience and observations. Websites are NOT reliable. My case is still not updated on either (shows received) and I read about someone who just completed their interview and has Visa on hand but website still show received. Paper letters do arrive and they are vital, unlike NOA1 you should not lose them as they will be needed for adjustment of status. My recommendation take a good picture of them with your phone or scan them if you have that available and upload to cloud backed storage. If you call you might find out a few days earlier in advance. Up to you if it worth your time to sit on hold.

I hope I am wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if your case unfortunately takes a little longer than average due to country of your beneficiary. This is purely speculative on my part and not in anyway official. Try to find other timelines from same country, and compare. Good luck everyone.

I hope I am wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if your case unfortunately takes a little longer than average due to country of your beneficiary. This is purely speculative on my part and not in anyway official. Try to find other timelines from same country, and compare. Good luck everyone.

Yeah I read about the high fraud countries. Glad the Dominican Republic isn't one.

Pregnancy brain is making me overthink why I got my RFE. Wondering if it's because I didnt have enough evidence of meeting? I just sent 15 photos and labeled and dated on back with Facebook posts of events with likes and comments. Didn't include stamps or fights since we live 30 min away from each other and cross multiple times a week. Worse case is I provide evidence but not sure how. Boarder crossings? I don't keep receipts. Engagement ring receipt? I'm pregnant so does that count as evidence? Lol. FML.
