It's not great to hear you got an RFE especially through Rapidvisa... but the good thing is, someone looked at your case!! And once you send in the requested evidence, it likely won't be too long for you to get approved. Better than your file collecting dust for months.

August 6th 2018: I-129F filed

August 10th 2018: NOA1

January 7th 2019: NOA2

So then if the paper copy of my NOA1 says "Received Date: August 22, 2018" and "Notice Date: August 27, 2018", the old website says "On August 22, 2018, we received your Form I-129F", and the new website says August 27, 2018 for both the submitted date and received date, which date should I be using for the NOA1 in my timeline? 😵

Pick a date as a 5 day difference is not going to cause any kind of large discrepancy in your timeline. The timeline is only a guesstimation of what is taking place and is only a thin representation of all those in the large pool that are applying.

Oh my. This scared me a little. My fiancé just started his 28 day hitch and won’t be able to attend to any RFE. He will not be required to attend an RFE interview as most RFE's are handled via email. It's rare that the two of you are asked to attend a RFE meeting. Do you have one pending.

My my. We’re also with RapidVisa. Pfffft. Be careful with RV. They have been known to not completely understand the visa process and have put their clients in some particular situations causing confusion and delays. Stay here on VJ and ask any questions you may have especially on what RV tells you. Be a participant in the sub-forum for the Philippines and you will not go wrong.

Any guess what could be the RFE all about? See below

Here on VJ they have created a spreadsheet where couples have added their RFE information and it makes for a good primer while you are waiting for your RFE.

Here is the link to the RFE thread:

http://www.visajourn...fe-master-list/

Here is the link to the actual document in google docs:

https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QZLEE9OecLgkFXzE_ChRWqPGW4breSStBXafL2zbGhA/edit#gid=2061710905

The original is the copy you receive in the mail. Read it carefully and answer with what they are asking for. You don't have to do anymore then what is outlined within the RFE. Sign the RFE and make copies of everything you'll put in the return envelope. These copies will remain yours. Seal the envelope and return to the address that is specified in the RFE. Be sure to send it back so that you can trace it. Be sure your response is returned in the allotted time contained within the RFE.

Thanks for your honesty. Please read the information above.

Can you please complete your profile. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

There isn't anyone that knows the answer to your questions. It will be done when it's done. I know you don't want to hear what I am saying but it's what I see day in and day out over many years of answering questions. They publish that they have up to 12 weeks to reply to an RFE. Sometimes it sooner and sometimes it's longer.

The USCIS has issued a Ruling, effective April 17, 2007, that gives adjudicators flexibility in determining the length of time a petitioner or applicant has to respond to a Request for Evidence (RFE) or a Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID). Currently, the standard deadline for response to an RFE is twelve weeks (84 days). NOIDs must be responded to within thirty days. Under this regulation, the USCIS will determine how much time should be permitted in any given case, with maximum possible time being what is now the standard response deadline. That is, adjudicators will set deadlines for both RFEs and NOIDs that could be up to twelve weeks in case of RFEs or up to thirty days for NOIDs. No extensions of time are permitted.

Processing of your Form I-129F. will resume upon receipt of your response.  If you have not heard from USCIS within 60 days of responding, you may contact the USCIS Contact Center (UCC) at 1-800-375-5283.

Congratulation on your approval. So happy for all of you who got their approval 😊. I'm getting anxious and excited to get our approval too. Wish us luck. Noa1 received date: August 22 and notice date: August 27.

Congrats on the approval!. I'm also getting anxious about mine since I've seen some people filed after me and have already been approved. But I bet the officers have to grab cases at random or by batches maybe.

I can't imagine the frustrating you guys must be feeling but hang in there. A friend of mine at work had the same thing happened in 2017 with an rfe and after he submitted it, it only took USCIS 3-4 weeks to approve his petition. Keep us notified about this. Best of luck!

When they arrive at USCIS they are opened in order and scanned into the system. Then they are assigned to an adjudicator who sends your case out for background checks based on a "set of criteria" from the information contained in the record. That criteria is different for each individual (some will have a crime others not - some are from "terrorist" country's others not etc.). Once the background checks are returned then in that order the case will enter it's final adjudicating phase. So you can see at the last stage your record is in no order since background checks take different times for different people. Hope this helps in explaining what takes place.

Ah gotcha, it does make sense. I mean my application was pretty simple, no criminal records, no marriages, no kids no divorces, and o believe there is no struggle between USA and Argentina that I know of. But again like you are saying, maybe the background check took longer for some reason. Thanks for the response!
