NOA1 August 2nd here too. No word as of yet!

Hang in there.  I have a good feeling we will hear something within the next 10 days 😁.

Did they charge you?

Didn't you try calling USCIS to know if they got it?

More times then not during this process we tend not to be patient. When something is delayed or you think you should have received something the answer is not always to CALL. Do your research. Follow other similar timelines. What are the official government websites telling you their processing history as well as what are they projecting. Do you know where to look for that information? When a I-129f is submitted it normally will take 2-4 weeks to receive the NOA1. You have to take into consideration weekends and holiday that factor in this timeline. 2-4 weeks is normal.

I called my lawyer a couple of times and he told me to continue waiting, it can take up to 6-8 months for an answer according to him... I had a funny feeling about all this because it’s taking too long. Today I started to do some research and I found out that I was supposed to get a NOA within the first 3 weeks... I haven’t received the first notification...When I submitted my paper work I send it as priority mail, and I have the confirmation from the post office that uscis received it.  I will call uscis tomorrow morning, I send them a money order, not sure if they charged it.

If you have a notification that USCIS has received your package YOU DO NOT NEED TO CALL because you have already answered your own question.

NOTE to others here: To optimize your submittal did you make a copy of everything? Do you have a tracking number and has USCIS confirmed receipt? Has you check/money order been cashed? These are all signs that you are in a normal processing and if any of these tracking mechanisms are showing positive results then there is no need for you to be "freaking out". Your in the beginning stages and you still have 6-8 months ahead till the NOA2.

Each of the money order companies do have an online search function if you research you'll find one for your processor. If you used USPS then here is the link. For others Google.

Also, can you and @vera1992 complete your profile please. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Here are a couple of "tools" to use here on VJ that you may not be familiar with.

1. If you select your flag in your profile it's going to open up to a page with lots of information. In the middle upper part of the page you are going to see "Quick Links" then in the list select "Embassy Review" and you will be taken to a page where you can read what others have experienced at your Embassy and you can add your review. There is a host of other links on this page to follow.

2. Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question. Near your picture there is a link for your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture  you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

I followed those that were in my group to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind.  It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so.

If you choose to follow those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

We received NOA2 this morning. Yay! I awoke to a text from USCIS at 6:18am telling me they had taken action on my case. I logged in to the new site and it shows that case was approved yesterday.  (The old site still shows as Case received.)

NOA1: August 8

NOA2: January 3

Good luck to all those who are still waiting.

For those who might be curious, I frontloaded the app with many pages of whatsapp call screenshots, photos (copies) of us together, and samples of our chat messages for past year or so. Neither of us have been married before. No criminal history. I did serve in the military but was over 20 years ago.

Great way to start 2019.  Congrats!  So happy for you.
