Here is another way to know what movement is being taken with those around you from your country.

Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question. Near your picture there is a link for your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture  you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

I followed those that were in my group to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind.  It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so.

If you choose to follow those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

Thanks a ton for this tip!

NOA 11/16/21

Check Cashed 11/18/21

I’m curious, would USCIS consider Tinder as IMB?😅 I believe my fiance mentioned that we “initially” started talking in Tinder.🙊 But a few weeks later, he came to visit  my country for a famous festival and we met and hung out and eventually started dating and here we are! Hoping we dont get RFE’s for    IMBRA issues!

It is not a matter of what they consider. Tinder is not IMB, but having said that, they might get particularly out of touch adjudicator who will send RFE asking to proof that Tinder isn't IMB. People who met on FaceBook I think got IMBRA RFEs. Did you check "Not an IMB" checkbox on 129F?  If you are worried, truck down Tinder ToS so you have it ready to go, on low chance they will ask you about it.

I would hope that USCIS considers that in this day and time most of us meet online in one shape or fashion and they should already know that FB, POF, Tinder, Tagged, etc. are not IMBs.  We all check "no" on that box on our I-129f petition.  That should never be an issue for any of us.

AOS Timeline (I-485, I-765, I-131)

12/28/2019:  Packages sent to USCIS via Fedex

12/30/2019:  USCIS received packages

1/08/2020:  NOA for all 3 applications

1/17/2020:  Received biometrics appt letter for the I-485 and I-765 (Code 3).

1/31/2020:  Biometrics completed

2/20/2020:  RFE

6/15/2020:  Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview

6/15/2020:  I-765 (New Card is Being Produced)

6/30/2020:  Received Combo Card in the Mail

Tinder is possibly well known with USCIS so I doubt your will have a problem. But your mileage may vary. An easy fix if you receive an RFE.

Plenty of Fish is not well known so you could possibly be facing an RFE. It's a simple response and should only delay you by 2 weeks.

Some people have gotten IMB-related RFEs when they've met on very large online dating sites or over very popular social media sites. Assuming that USCIS should know better for any site is probably not a good idea.

I’m pretty sure USCIS staff might even be using Tinder haha! Thanks for your responses guys. We’re actually with RapidVisa so they better be doing their job! Just cant help but obsess with this visa process. It’s making me anxious 😅😅😅😅

Yes, we have all waited long enough time, hopefully we all have  some good news in next few weeks. I do hope you have copies of what RapidVisa prepared for you.

Yes, I know the feeling.  Waiting for hopefully no more than 3 more weeks & hoping for no RFE's to deal with.  Good luck.

Be careful of RapidVisa as they have been known to miss something causing additional expense and or wait times. I recommend that you check and recheck their work and in most cases do the filing yourselves from others that are here that can help you. First place to get familiar is with the sub-forum for the Philippines. Here is the link.

Did you scroll down the page? If it is blank then you are the only one at this time that is pursuing a visa and are on VJ from your country. Whatever country that is.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks
