So I thought i was a july filer but thats when my I129F was received, turns out my no1 reciept date was 08/01 so i guess i should be checking this page now 😂

Hi Sanford010.  My timeline is similar to yours.  My received date is 7/30/2018, but my receipt date is 8/02.  Unfortunately, we have to go by the receipt date.  Our date is close & hopefully we will hear something by the middle of January 2019.  Good luck 😄.

I think that very much depends on your specific country. Remember 129F approval is "easy" part of the process. After that case transferred to NVC (can be as long as a month) case # assigned there, then sent to your local embassy. Medical, police cert, able to schedule interview (some embassies have interview slots booked for months in advance) etc

Not to get your hopes up or anything but they seemed to be getting through to the july petitions really quickly.  Im august 1st but hoping to be accepted this side of new year! 😊

It varies by embassy and since we can't determine your embassy as you have not completed your profile.

 

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

@greenbaum, Thanks for replying :). I just updated my timeline. My fiance is in Dubai. When I filed, I put Dubai for embassy. After sending out the packet, I came to know that k-1 visas are only processed at Abudhabi. I hope they will automatically forward the papers to Abudhabi or should I call and notify them?

I wonder if things will start to slow down in a big way later this week and next week due to the holidays? I'm sure a lot of their folks will be taking vacations.
