I'll give you two more tips when using VJ. When you respond to a post just use the "Quote" at the end of the post. That will populate to a new window where below the quote and outside the quoted text you can type your message. That way the individual knows that you have answer/have a question concerning their topic.

 

If you just want to post something to an individual without a quote then use the "@" sign then begin typing, in the box at the end of the page, their nick name and you should see it populate to a little window that you can choose their nik. Good luck and I hope this helps navigate the thread and posts in a much easier way.

Not sure about phones, but on computer, if hover mouse over the person nick, you have an option to send message. You can also click it to go to their full profile and send message from there.

There is a box on the very bottom that says "reply to this topic" where you can start your post to someone using the "@" sign without quoting a topic. 

 

If you want to send a private message to only that one person then select their picture which will then populate their personal page. Look to the right of their nickname and you should see a blue box that says "message" with a white envelope. Select it then you are able to send them a personal message that no one else can see. I hope this helps.

I haven’t gotten those either, I’m waiting for the approval update , also my last update was 9-14-18 as well. I think it’s either random or there’s a paper that you send along with your petition asking for email updates , I could be wrong though

It can't be explained other then if your not receiving them then someone is not pushing the right buttons. You may try and update your email once again.

In my post's I was referring to the governmental agency that excepts your email. They will enter it and based on your status "the computer will have it's button pushed" by the software to send out an email. If the email address is not there or the "wrong" button was pushed you will not receive and update. Just my short answer to a problem that can't be explained rationally because it is a governmental agency.

Ultimately it really doesn't matter. The only kinda interesting thing about those notification is that they show date which seem to be (at least for me) different from both NOA1 and received dates. 

 

Today is state funeral for the "Good Bush" President so USCIS is closed.
