What if you submit the police clearance with the original packet

There are two "police" clearance requirements. First is your local police (follow the instructions contained within your P3 letter or see below) and that's for the interview. Usually it can't be older then one year but some embassies require 6 months validity at time of interview. The second PC is for places outside your home country that you have lived for more then 6 months from the age of 16. If you have never lived outside your country you don't need to worry about this. Your PC that you refer to in your post may not be valid by the time you reach your interview.

Hey all!

Just wondering how long does it take after getting the NOA2 before you can start planning what date you can book that final one way flight? Is it a pretty fast process once the NOA2 is sorted? If I got my NOA2 in March, when would I likely be able to fly out?

Cheers

After you receive your visa. Can't answer that questions because each case is different and you have not had your interview. So, what I tell you today, for you could possibly be different once you complete your interview. So many factors to consider when answering a question like that.

Have you received your case number from NVC? Do you know where your case file is at the moment?

So

Last quarter of January would be March right? That's great to hear. Currently my VJ timeline says, "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between March 12, 2019 and March 17, 2019*" So it seems everything is still good and on schedule.

Try this exercise from another source.

Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question. Near your picture, there is a link to your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others from your Embassy are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

And if you want to follow those from other countries that have similar timelines as yours there are several tools available to you. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them.

I followed those that were in my group to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind.  It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so.

If you choose to follow those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

None are official; I'm pretty sure they all work the same way (by getting data from the old web site). So use whichever you like best.

They are all equally legitimate if they are on the store. Neither is developed by USCIS. They do work a bit differently, Case Tracker is (IMO) much better than Case Status. Case Tracker allows for more sorting. They all get info from the old site and will better work in pair with your account at the new website.

Yes...at first I thought I should be looking for one developed by them.

Thanks for input.

You are welcome. Just do not overdo with profound sorting which the Tracker allows for, or USCIS will lock you out for a couple of days (it's OK to check an individual case as often as you please but trying to collect statistics may be punished).

You should be getting notification every 2 weeks. But that a very recent date for them to "touch" your case.

I signed up for notifications but I’m not getting anything 😫
