Have you read the headlines! Everyone is running scarred that they won't get in the country so they are rushing to do it now rather then later. Legal immigration is not  the source of the immigration problem and therefor I see no need to panic. Just my opinion.

I agree

@Greenbaum that above notification the one I refer too, sorry for confusion. For NOA1 hard copy to this update "case was received to we are still reviewing your case" normally take how long? OR, those about notification will only be received by email? But when we check on "case status" in USCIS system will only shown "case was received"?

It will say "case was received" for months until such time as you background checks are completed or for some odd reason someone "has touched" your file. You are looking at about 6.5 to 7.5 months until NOA2. Your mileage may vary.

So I'm making screenshots of our Viber call logs. We barely text, mostly talk for hours. I'm thinking of doing 2-3 screenshots of calls logs for each month to show that we still communicate after the I-129f was submitted.

What do you guys think ? Would it be weird if I don't screenshot our conversations ? There really isn't anything to screenshot.

For us, being in a different timezone, we always message each other even though one of us is asleep. It's better to screenshot messages, but if there's no messages exchanged between you two, then you may have to rely with your call logs. Just provide all the proof that you can provide. Goodluck to both of you. We all going to need it.

I also noted that we've started to more talk than chat, and even if we message, it's more like sending photos, images and emojis. To keep it printable I from time to time warn my fiance that I'm going to text/email him something important so please read and comment. These emails/chats with responses + image texting + logs will probably be fine. This is probably the most annoying part in K1 journey that you must document every moment together but on the other hand, some 20+ years after it will be a precious family archive. We still have plenty of time till NOA2/interview, so you have even more. Just text at least once a week and you'll have loads of printable evidence. Your good morning and good night messages qualify too.

Go to your profile, click on your timeline. Then scroll all the way down and where it says " Processing Estimates/Stats" you will see the approximate dates :)

Assuming you filed in August (because, well, this is the August 2018 filers thread)…

The normal processing time range listed by USCIS for I-129-Fs at the California Service Center has not changed significantly since you filed (it's gone from 5-7 months to 5.5-7.5 months). The actual processing times reported by VJ members went up a lot in the first half of 2017, but has been pretty stable since then (hasn't moved more than two weeks in either direction).

The average processing times reported by VJ members has actually gone down slightly since you filed. If you fill it your timeline, you can get an estimate NOA2 date range based on the processing times other VJ members report, though this is an average and based on self-reported data. For an August filer, it's likely to show a date in February. You almost certainly aren't going to hear anything before then.

USCIS processing time went back to 5 to 7 months from 5.5 to 7.5 months. Also they jump 9 days from april 3 to april 12. This is great news for us guys. I think they are speeding the approvals each month. Fingers crossed. 😊👍
