I think 2020 election will have more of an effect on processing speed than anything else.

I wish something happened now.. to atleast bring down the processing time by a month :/

Just looked at the processing times on the USCIS website, and it changed from  "5 months to 7 months" to "5.5 to 7.5 months" 😥.

This is just so frustrating and ridiculous ! This process is just taking longer and longer each year, I wonder how long it will take a year or two from now. It's so sad that people went from waiting for 3 months to now 6-7.

Why cant more people be hired if the ones who work now cant handle the petition load ? We all know this process can be done much faster because we know how long the process took last year, and even better two years from now..

Sorry for the small rant, just frustrated 🙄

Ok. Hire more people then hire more supervisor's and then there is no room so let's build a building to house everyone in and then one year from now when visa traffic returns back to 3 months processing lets, fire the people and now we don't need supervisors so lets fire them and that building.... not needed so let's burn it to the ground. There we fixed the immigration processing problem. Mmmmm. Logical thinking?

I noticed that you act like a smart*** on a numerous amount of posts to people who aren’t actually being rude.

This forum is for helping and supporting each other. If you’re going to imply that someone’s thinking isn’t logical, I suggest you think again before doing so. Don’t put yourself over others.

Greenbaum is an upstanding guy, and goes the extra mile to help folks on VJ.  One of his main messages is that although he and others can and do help, we all need to read and educate ourselves to this process.  Maybe you don't understand his gruffness, but he certainly doesn't "put himself above others."

I spend 2-4 hours each day to help others with their questions. Many find it helpful and are thankful for the information I provide. When I hear from stupid complainers who always reply with a "whoa is me" attitude or "I deserve this or I know better than them", I take the side of what is realistic, and sometimes it's done with humor. If you are so thin skinned then I advise to check out as this just might not before you. After all, you still have many months ahead of you and you will have many more questions.

Everyone here helps each other, not just you, and everyone appreciates each other’s help. But who are you to decide who is a “stupid” complainer ? If someone is frustrated with something they can rant all they want, and if that bothers you then don’t reply to those “stupid” people. I’m pretty sure you were a newbie on here as well and asked dozens of questions, or were upset with something, and no one thought you were stupid.

P.S Helping others doesn’t justify your rudeness.

He isn’t the only person who helps other on VJ, others spend a lot of time and put effort into this too. I don’t think this is the place to show gruffiness.

Just because someone hopes that the process will magically be faster doesn’t mean that that person isn’t educated on this process. There’s no harm in dreaming 😊

This describes why they are having struggles. Stupid decision by the current administration looking for "others" to blame for the issues. And, yes, there are folks here who tend to jump on every venting post. Unfortunately, in practical short term terms all we can do now is wait. Long term.. those of us who are "USC" we can campaign and vote.

Hi everyone,

I'm an August filer too! I can see this is a lovely month to join haha. I know it sounds like a long time but remember: it’s only 6-8 months for the rest of your life together. You can blame everyone for it but I don’t think extra check ups is a really bad thing. I really focus on doing the things in my country and with my family that I can’t do once I’m gone. My son is spending his last holidays (in Holland) with grandpa and grandma. I made a list of things me and my son wanna do before we go. That helps a lot!

I hope we all get approved soon!

Hello everyone.. Since i am reading more information for the next step when hopefully we received our noa2.. I have come across with this statement from

 https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/SGP_Singapore.html

Which btw my question is.. So when i request a copy of it...i should have it delivered to the said address.. When should i do it? And should i order.. 1 for myself too? Just in case.. But as per instruction.. Even though lll bring it at the interview.. As they say that they wont accept it if its submitted by individual applicant...

Should be true because its from travel.state.gov 🤔... Thoughts please..

Who has experienced on this?

This is like special instructions from us embassy singapore...

Filipino applicants and applicants of other nationalities residing in the Philippines: You must obtain a “Certificate of No Marriage” (CENOMAR) from the Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA). The PSA must send the CENOMAR by mail directly to the Immigrant Visa Unit, Consular Section, U.S. Embassy Singapore, 27 Napier Road, Singapore 258508. We will not accept CENOMARs submitted by individual applicants.

Thanks everyone in advance

I'm a little confuse. Will you do you interview in Singapore or in the Philippines? Once I know that I can answer you question. Your profile states that you are interviewing in the Philippines so I just want to make sure with my answer.

Welcome to the thread. Those are great ideas that you are sharing your time with your son and with his grand parents. I'm sure they really appreciate that from you.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Update up to today, we still have not received the hard copy of our NOA1, I doubt it til Friday evening we will receive it. My fiancé is planning to call them tomorrow afternoon to request them to re-send another copy. But I insisted him to request at least to get the Case Number by phone so we can check online while waiting them to resend hard copy. The problem, maybe they won't give us thru phone for security reason. Is there any other way to ask them to give info to us than phone? His email address and phone number registered in their system, however I lose hope if they will send it via email or mobile no. Anyone could give us advise, most appreciated.
