Yes, thanks. We just sent them email tonight :) Let's see! And we are checking our bank statement daily to see if it's been cashed out, so far not yet.

If your check wasn't cashed out, they might be sending you your package back and/or lost it somehow. Do not wait, do contact them at the lockbox facility. Also when they cash out cheque it doesn't look like typical cheque transaction, what they do is generate ACH transfer using information from the cheque, kinda same way PayPal does, just so you aware. It looks very different on online banking at least for my bank than regular check being cashed.

Olichka,

Thanks a lot, we need that support :)

Shiran,

Thanks a lot for your advise. SO far this is what we have done:

1. Package sent - 17/8

2. Shown received by USPS tracking - 20/8

3. 6 weeks not received NOA1 nor cashed out - feeling miserable

4. Called USCIS - 24/9 (backlog respond, asked to wait another 2 weeks before we hear something)

5. Emailed Lockbox Facility to inquiry - 25/9

6. Waiting their respond ....

No problem ! What you can also do is check other peoples timelines that are similar to yours. That way you can see if anyone who filed on the same day ( or around that day) received their NO1.

To check other timelines around you here is a tool to use.

Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question. Near your picture there is a link for your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture  you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others from your Embassy are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

And if you want to follow those from other countries that have similar timelines as yours there are several tools available to you. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them.

I followed those that were in my group to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind.  It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so.

If you choose to follow those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

I just checked my case status, and it shows that it was last updated on 9/14/2018. I know I saw two people on here saying they saw the same thing. What does this mean ? I sent my packet on August 31st, and got my NOA1 on 9/07/2018 !

Every time during this process that your case is "touched" an update to your status will change. It's nothing to be concerned about in fact it's a good thing as it's not laying in a corner gathering dust. Now sit back and wait. Wait times for NOA2 have been running 6-8 months so don't expect anything to happen till such time. JMO.

Thanks a lot Olichka!!

Greenbaum, sure I will have a look! Thanks so much!!

i tried and found 15 similar timeline, even they submitted after mine, they already received NOA1. It seems like i am the only August filer didn’t receive NOA1 yet😪

I am down down down! Totally miserable having known in other page that if we did not received NOA1 After 30 days there are only two possibilities; they are missing our package or there is something wrong but we didn’t get notified by mail. How can I thinking positively this time, 40 days+ passed, another waits without knowing the exact status😪😪

Did they ever answer you email ? You can give them a call again. On my case status, it says that if I didn't receive my NOA in 30 days I should give them a call at: 1-800-375-5283. So i guess 30 days is the tops..and you've way past that.

Not yet, email sent 2 days ago, no respond so far. We are impatient and eagerly to call again but don’t want be too pushy to them too! Hard choice! My fiancé will prepare another package to send hopefully by next week, luckily we keep all the copies. Just need to check for the updated form I guess.

Very strange. There was a case here when someone didn't clip the cheque to their package (it was included but was loose in envelope and Lockbox people didn't notice it) but in that case case the ENTIRE package was returned to them. It might be the cheque has trouble clearing with the bank? Really shouldn't be the case with ACH transactions. Hopefully you will get some response soon, and yes, preparing 2nd package is a good idea.

In other news I got my first "We are not doing anything on your case, but we know you are still waiting, and haven't forgotten, please do not call us" notification ping today. I guess for a starving person even picture of the dinner is better than nothing?

We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time

We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on August 16, 2018."

I would be pushy! I bet you’re not the only one calling :)

So, today my fiancé called, said: he checked his bank account and there is $535 pending transaction on his statement. So we hope that they cashed out our check soon, and good news NOA1 coming soon next week. *knocked wood*

Thanks a lot! We do really hope that it won't take any longer for us to get notified of NOA1, excited!

Anyway good luck on your NOA2 process too.
