My fiancé is a US NAVY and he sent his military ID card copy with our papers. I understand the processing is fast because he is in military but we can’t still have hard copy🤷‍♀️

Maybe call to USCIS in next week🤦‍♀️

Sending your ID will not speed the process up. You must requires the expediency to your case. Read the links to get an idea what the process is and if you qualify. You guys have to do the heavy lifting.

I'm X-Navy and would like to thank your fiancé for his service.

Hello!

I'm posting in here late because I wanted to make sure we had the physical NOA1 in hand before I posted... I've already posted twice before, incorrectly thinking we were done with this stage of the process.

We originally sent our forms in October 2017 but they got lost in the mail. We then sent in a new form in July, but they missed the cheque, so that delayed us for a month while it was mailed to USCIS, then back to my fiance, and then sent back to the USCIS again with the cheque double paperclipped to the front so it wouldn't get missed again. My fiance received an email and text notification on August 27, 2018. I don't have an exact date of when we got the NOA1 in the mail because my fiance didn't have a chance to check the mail before needing to evacuate for hurricane Florence. BUT we do have the physical NOA1 with a notice date of August 27 now, so we're finally onto the next step... hopefully. 😅

I just checked my case status, and it shows that it was last updated on 9/14/2018. I know I saw two people on here saying they saw the same thing. What does this mean ? I sent my packet on August 31st, and got my NOA1 on 9/07/2018 !

Anyone else recieve any email from USCIS this morning? It only said this “

We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time

We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on August 29, 2018.”

Anyone know why they would send that? Thanks.

Did you sign up for e-mail alerts? Maybe that could be the reason you are receiving the e-mail !

I got the same thing , it might be just a soft touch. Nothing major , hopefully no RFEs

Finally I signed up VJ today. Congratulations for August Filler fellow whom received NOA1 already. My fiancée sent our petition on 17th August, packet was delivered to Texas on 20th August. But until now, 24th Sept we have not received anything (NOA1) yet. Signed up for email/SMS alert but NONE til date. I am getting worry. WE plan to call them tomorrow after check if the check has been cashed out or not. Feeling so miserable :(

That is a very long time to wait for NOA1. Was your check cashed out? You should've got a letter from USCIS in the regular mail by now I would think.

Hi Shiran,

IKR, it is almost 6 weeks now. Yesterday we called them, short response was they are currently experiencing backlog. Said it may takes up to 2 weeks before we hear something. Anyway, we found in USCIS website that we may contact them via email to inquiry status of our package. We will wait for few days and then email them. Hopefully something good is on the way this few days. And we checked, they have not cashed out our check yet. Please wish us luck!

Yes, thanks. We just sent them email tonight :) Let's see! And we are checking our bank statement daily to see if it's been cashed out, so far not yet.
