Nobody with an NOA2 date after you has visa in hand yet. As of now, the latest NOA2 date to make it to NVC is a Jan 29th date.

No I mean from start of process NOA1 TO NOA 2 to Visa in Hand.

Well, you got an RFE, it happens. I know Kris would already be here if I hadnt got one, but I forgot to check a box. My mistake, so now we wait.

Keep in mind there are still August filers without NOA2,whereas you're a September filer and have it.

So what would cause someone like my visa to be held up at Immigrant AP and others who interviewed after me already get ahead :(  I'm happy for them... of course.. but what is wrong with mine.... the interview was so quick and the consular seemed satisfied with everything... didn't even ask for a single document of evidence. :(

Unfortunately my only suggestion is to check Philippines specific forum here https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/ , and ask there. This part is really, really country/consulate specific, and how long those parts take depends solely on that.

Agreed with @Shiran. And realistically speaking, a week is really not bad for AP. Looking at your timeline, it was much faster than the usual so my humble assumption is maybe the security clearances didn't have time to complete and they are waiting on those before issuing the visa.

@Blondie0216

I feel your frustration.

Lately my fiancé and I are a little frustrated with how people in other countries get to schedule their interview right after their case gets to the embassy whereas for me (in Canada) we have to wait for packet 3 to arrive in the mail first and do other things before we can even schedule anything.

I know it's hard to sit back and watch others get ahead. But at the same time, there'll always be people behind us too, frustrated and waiting.

I like to think of it as all of us being in line and we just have to wait our turn. Eventually we will all get through 💁🏼‍♀️

- definitely the biggest test of patience we have to go through!

Hope your case reaches the NVC soon!! 😊

Hi everyone,

We received NOA2 (dated January 22), but still haven’t received the notice that the case is being sent to NVC yet. I’ve sent emails to both NVC and the Montreal consulate (I think that’s right) but haven’t received a response from either.

Advice? Anything to do besides wait?

thanks!

Linda

It can take 6 weeks and some Canadian applicants have had to wait that long
