I just called USCIS, same old story. Was told there's nothing wrong with my case and that I'm still within the normal processing time.

We heard the same first time my fiance called. But another thing is we've had this name updated status for more than a month. I wonder how we end up being the last person's being reviewed when there's October filers being pushed through...makes no sense and it makes me angry. Why meeeeeee

USPS informed delivery for today has the image of NOA2 again...hoping IT DOES get delivered. I have been calling local USPS since tues... finally, yesterday someone picked up line only to place me on a 45:18 hold. I gave up. I called USCIS and Carmina said I had to wait 30 days from date of issuance/mailing (3/8) to request a resend.

Its coming today!

Same here, NOA1 -Aug 14 and no NOA2 yet. It's really frustrating!

You are within the normal processing times. Your at about 185 days and the out of normal processing date is at 221 days right now. So calling or getting your congress person involved is a waste of time because USCIS will give you the same response each and every time you call; Your still within normal processing". Β Unfortunately, more waiting.

Β

Β If your receipt date is before the β€œReceipt date for a case inquiry", you can submit an β€œoutside normal processing time” service request online.

As part of its benefits adjudication process and as required by law, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) conducts background checks on petitioners and applicants who seek certain immigration benefits. These background checks consist of four separate checks against systems within Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In order to facilitate the collection and transmission of information necessary to complete background check processes, USCIS maintains five information technology electronic systems: the Fingerprint Masthead Notification System (FMNS), the Customer Identity Capture System (CICS), the FD-258 Tracking System - Mainframe (FD-258 MF), the Benefits Biometrics Support System (BBSS), and the Interagency Border Inspection System (IBIS) Manifest. USCIS is conducting this privacy impact assessment (PIA) because FMNS, CICS, FD-258 MF, BBSS, and IBIS Manifest collect, use, and share personally identifiable information (PII). This PIA replaces the previously published USCIS PIA for the "Background Check Service (BCS)" which describes planned background check-related systems that were never implemented. Upon publication of this PIA, the BCS PIA will be retired.

Β

Additional screening and background checks based on country of birth, citizenship, or residency in the β€œState Sponsors of Terrorism” (T-7) list: Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Sudan, Syria; or from the β€œList of 26”: Afghanistan, Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, Yemen. This is a mandatory stop list and allegedly takes 2 to 4 days, thanks in part to the partially rolled out PATRIOT (Pre-Adjudicated Threat Recognition and Intelligence Operations Team) system managed by ICE, but often take 3 to 6 weeks and if there is a hit who knows how long.
