I may have to get surgery and I would like my fiancé here with me , would that help my case or would they overlook it?

That’s will not be a reason for expecting a case. Sorry.

u can try and get a tourist or visitors visa for ur fiancé. Be about the only way they could be with u for ur surgery.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

My last updated date was same day as you.  I didn’t get any email and my fiancé is either. I got email with our case number in 8/30/2018 but didn’t get hard copy yet though 🤷‍♀️ Just keep waiting haha.

I think it was just a soft touch🙃

Hmm, I would double check your inbound mail pile. You should get it any day now.

My fiancé checked mail box everyday since we got case number but it didn’t still arrive. We’re going to call to that number if we don’t get hard copy until Sep 26th. 😓

Is the petitioner in the military as there is special circumstances that USCIS will consider to expedite a case.

Here on VJ there are a few threads speaking about the expediting a case.

Oh my mistake. You put forth the following "I may have to get surgery and I would like my fiancé here with me" so my reply was to help you to understand the complexity of such a course of action using the expediting process. I saw someone else attempted to help you so I answered with some additional help.

Yes I did , but I don’t believe I qualify for. An expedite so I decided to leave it as is, hopefully I won’t need the surgery it’s nothing major

Good luck to everyone here! I just signed up for the forum. Mailed mine on 8/31 and got my NOA 1 on 9/14. It definitely took longer than average. I placed my packet into a folder with different pockets to protect it and organize all the paperwork. and photos Hope that didn't delay processing.

How did everyone else package their paperwork?

Hi,

I used a folder with multiple pockets as well and placed the 129f application in one pocket, the intent to marry attestations in another, etc. I also did the 2 hole punch at the top (per USCIS instructions) but that was optional.

When I researched YouTube videos on how to organize, a lot of people there have placed each individual sheet into a plastic insert that then went into a 3 hole binder BUT that goes against USCIS suggestions.

Note: those folks were still approved. So, I dont think it matters too much how you placed it as long as everything was filled out correctly and nothing was excluded accidentally.

My fiancé is a US NAVY and he sent his military ID card copy with our papers. I understand the processing is fast because he is in military but we can’t still have hard copy🤷‍♀️

Maybe call to USCIS in next week🤦‍♀️
