So we called USCIS on February 4th spoke with an operator who had no information. Then magically an RFE was sent very next day lol issued Feb 5th received on the 8th. Add us to the request for more evidence of meeting club. Just baffles me that including a plane ticket and a notorized letter of intent to marry with a statement from both of us on ONE page does not provide their one meeting requirement. If we had to be both present to sign the letter in front of the notary yes we met. I am just thankful it only took us 3 days to receive it, now to wait for the RFE reply .........😬😐🤞

Can I ask how you were able to speak to a live agent ? I called and all I get is automatic. Please advise

thanks

😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

So, approval may have been 2/7 or before and I received notification Friday, like many posts I've read that upon receiving paper NOA2 it's dated before we found out.

So I was looking at the website and although my date is 8/17 it says that the last action taken on my case was September 14, 2018. Doesnt give me any details on with that action actually was so which date is the correct date that I should be counting from? This is getting really frustrating and it is stressing both  me and my fiancé out

I'd just give them a call. No use in trying to think up an issue. Call and get some piece of mind.

aug 31, still nothing too :(

I was looking at some timelines for September filers and some of them were approved in like 110 days...a little over 3 months! They had the same service center as me. How does that even happen?

Some cases can be expedited or their background checks were completed at a different rate then you expect from yours. Looking at other cases can lead you to insanity. I recommend you control when you can control and the rest just let it go. You'll have a better experience. Why don't you try this exercise and see if it gives you a different outlook on the timing of approvals.

Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question. Near your picture, there is a link to your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others from your Embassy are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

And if you want to follow those from other countries that have similar timelines as yours there are several tools available to you. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them.

Last action taken is when your case was last touched. All that means is someone was working on something in your case (background check is my guess). You don't need to count anything. Your case will adjudicate within the timeframe that is quoted on the USCIS website. Nothing you can do to move this forward and calling is a waste of your time and USCIS's as you will only get a standard reply. Just my experience. See the exercise above that I gave to another member as I think this will help you.

I’ve tried calling but I can’t seem to get to an actual person. And when I put my receipt number in using the WAC in numerical form it says that I didn’t enter in enough numbers
