How will we know that our stuff got to NVC and also when it leaves to the embassy? Are we getting anything in the mail like NOA2? I never got text or email for NOA2 only for NOA1. And new website is not updated for NOA2.

Some approved petitions arrived at the NVC in 10 working days and some approved petitions arrive in over a month.  It's best to wait until 10 working days has passed and call the NVC and email them.  You might be one of the lucky ones and they have your approved petition and they will give you your case and invoice number or you will just have to wait.  If you scroll thru some of the pages of this thread you will see some of our experiences.  Also go to the Immigration Timeline and choose the "NVC Received" filter and you can see the trends.

NVC sent me wrong case number in the last email and therefore I couldn't check the status on CEAC. On Feb 5th, I received an email from NVC saying that they sent our petition to embassy in UAE. My correct case number was listed on email. I can now check status on CEAC. My case says 'in transit' on CEAC.

I have a question. Who gets packet 3? Petitioner or Beneficiary? By email or snail mail?  Is it just a letter with instructions for medicals/police clearance/ interview ? Or is there also something that we need to fill out and send back right away?

I'm asking because my fiance and I am on vacation and we won't be back to our countries (US and UAE) atleast for another month.

Please help.

I got my NOA2 in mail and I notices that her A number is messed up by the printer as well as her name on it. Will I need to file this somewhere and do I need to call them back and request a new copy? Will I need her A number and official spelling of her name from this document? Or I can just ignore this?

Also the Valid date on it is from 1/29/2018 to 5/28/2019 what is this date for? Valid for what? She needs to enter by this date? Please help.

So, I called in just now to USCIS to request a copy of the 1-797 form because they messed up on the printing part. Took about 30 min to get a person. Very nice girl was on phone and she opened a case and said that it will take about 5 days for them to respond to me with their decision and if they will send me a copy. It was not up to her to send. So I have to wait. They will email me or call. There is always something that will go wrong. LOL.

Once you get notification with the P3 letter, I normally can share that letter in advance but currently I do not have a P3 from UAE. If you get a copy can you send me one so I can share with others who will come behind you in this process? Thanks.

I will send you a copy of P3 once we receive it. Does the beneficiary receive anything else by mail before interview? We just wanna make sure that we don't miss anything while we are away. We have already told a friend to watch our for mails from embassy.

By the way, On a visa help FB page, someone posted that US embassy now requires 'IRS tax transcript' during interview. This is for Philippines embassy. Not sure if this applies to all embassies.

( Just passing along an info I found)

Greenbaum, Thanks for replying!!! I appreciate it👏

Thanks for the good gesture. However before this gets blown out of proportion... That posting was for a different visa. That individual was denied at the interview for failing to provide the Transcripts required for that Visa. They were suppose to send them to the NVC.. howver when they didn't, they asked for them at the interview and they still didn't have them to provide. So they failed. This does not pertain to the K1 visa process. You can print them and have them if you want to feel better. But they rarely ask for the I134. and if they do... the W2 and 1040 will be plenty to support the I134.

Oh okay. My bad. I didn't have the whole picture.

I was in the process of signing up on IRS website to order a transcript.

I'm glad you replied to my post 🙏
