So...well...my fiance somehow missed the whole page about criminal record🤷‍♀️

Didn't answer even a question..

At least it's very easy to fix it. Sending it back today.

Glad that's it's an easy fix.  Don't yell at him too much, lol

Hello, my case in the old side noa1 of 27/8, the new side dont say any date but we are still not approved, i'm getting worry already, please can anybody tell me how is the best way to know any news, cause i notice that so many cases have the approval in different ways, text, email, mail, new side, old side even phone calls to uscis.... i'm really anxious already.... 😔

I don't mean to sound cold but the only ways of checking is to keep checking the sites and check your mail because sometimes the approval will just come in your mail without any of the sites updating.  Go to the old site and make sure you select "Y" for email and text alerts.  Hang in there.

That is not unusual. Many on VJ over the years find ways to get informed but lately anything that worked in the past is not working now. If you with the 7 month window no need to USCIS because they are not going to tell you anything other then "your are normal processing time" call back in 8 weeks. You just have to have patience. I find not looking and being VJ helped us get through this. They tell you what the timeline is but there isn't anything that you can do to move it along. Just saying.

To further help you here on VJ many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Unfortunately, assuming your country is Venezuela due to recent break down in diplomatic relationship, I can see how background check can cause delays. With diplomats being expelled, I would be worried about where interview would be as well. Getting paper NOA2 is the only reliable way to check. Hopefully you will hear something soon.

The report of Venezuela expelling the US diplomats has been reported in just about every news outlet. The source to confirm these news stories can be found on the Embassy website. Thanks to @Shiran they have provided the links. If you are processing through VZ then it's best to stay in touch for further information as it will be posted on their website.

You can ask expedite request

Expedite request are for only certain situations. So far she hasn't mentioned anything more then she is anxious. Anxious is not of the approved list to expedient an application. There are certain emergency situations that USCIS allows an applicant to request to speed up the processing of their visa. Now your definition of an emergency can be completely different than theirs. When it comes to USCIS, they seem to want you to prove extreme hardship or emergency situations and not the usual problems we all face. I hope this helps.
