Here is the note I got: image.png

I made no attempts to file for expedited processing so there is no priority request. As of today, Sept 2, 2018, all cases with NOA1 date after February 4, 2018 are still in "normal processing" window.  Notice date is your NOA1 date btw, not received date.

thanks a lot now it makes so much sense

Welcome to August thread, I suggest you fill out and keep updating your Timeline, that way we can all keep track of our cases together.  Unfortunately though we are unlikely to hear much until February/March 2019.

I've been checking the tracking history non-stop, finally saw that it has been delivered...yay! Do you guys know how long it will take for them to cash the check ? Also, if they cash the check does that mean I filled everything out correctly and will not receive an RFE

If they "cash" your check generally it means you will get NOA1, and will spend next 6 months looking at a screen telling your case has been received in processing. If there is something extremely wrong with your packet, it might get returned to you, and check won't be cashed e.g. you forgot to sign, or forgot to include cheque, or, as was the case with someone they didn't notice the cheque because it was not paper clipped. That will not be RFE.

RFE might happen much much much later when case is  actually being properly processed by an officer. This is will probably happen not sooner then February 2019. RFE at that time is one of those bitter sweet pills. It sucks because it means there is a delay, but it is also good to know that they are actually opened and looking at your case. I think most members preferring knowing there is RFE and delay vs being in complete limbo and not hearing anything at all. Of course, ideally we all would rather just get our 129F approval and move to Department of State and Interview related stresses.

USCIS received my I-129 k1 fiancee visa July 26 I hoping to get the NOA2 Before Christmas I only hope God knows...

It would help if you updated your time line with your I-129F sent and noa1 information. It makes it easier for people to respond better to your questions.

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

Seems like there are 69 of us for August. I understand this number will fluctuate a bit. This is actually tiny comapred to February/March which seems to have nearly 400 filers.  Good luck to all of us!

I wonder if the numberof applicants might vary significantly from month to month due to weather changing, kids in or out of school, etc?

If so, I wonder if the summer and fall might see fewer applicants? I would think fewer applicants for say may, june, and july might allow USCIS folks to process August filers a bit faster than the Feb, '19 estimated NOA2 dates?

Good afternoon August 2018 K-1 filers!

I'm new-ish to the site and definitely new to posting but felt like sharing.

We chose to get a lawyer because my UK fiance had a police caution from over 10 years ago on his record- we were very worried about what that could mean for our application.

Anyway, the lawyer sent our packet on August 10th and we received our NOA-1 on August 16th.

Good luck to everyone during this long wait!

Welcome!

What's a UK Police Caution? Was it resolved appropriately and does he have documentation of clearance?

I would say that since it happened a decade ago and if proper disposition was obtained, it shouldn't impact your application.

Best wishes,

Catherine.

I sent my conversations and didn't translate as well ( mine are in Ukrainian). USCIS cares if you met withing the last 2 years, I doubt they will care if your conversations are in a different language..don't worry :) !

The requirement is to prove you have physically met within the last two years of filing. Proof of relationship is during the interview stage at the embassy. I didn’t send any transcripts at all and I was approved with no rfe. Nothing to worry about. Good luck guys! Hopefully the process will speed up for you.

Hi CuteCouple.  If you complete your timeline, the system will automatically give you some possible dates as to when you can expect your NOA2.  I hope this helps.

I sent my petition out on the 28th of August but I did not receive any notification yet. I thought that maybe I would get an email since I included it inside with the petition I sent but I didn't. What's the all the ways and best way to check notifications?

August data will increase as those filers will flow into VJ and update their information in the months to come.  I'm a Feb 2018 filer and did not find this site until July of this year.  You will see numbers over 300 in here, which is about 10% of total filers for the month.
