Our RFE was due to the agent. The USCIS worker failed to see my divorce decree that was included in the packet. Easy fix. The lawyer said he is sending it off right away stating where the decree was in the packet with another copy to make it faster. Should have a quick approval guys! 

That's so crappy, but luckily an easy fix. Did you receive the letter in the mail or just a notification online? My fiance (petitioner) has been calling—as some have suggested—for the past 3 days, but they keep just giving him the run around 😅

Ask to speak to a tier 2. I spoke to the nicest guy in the world. I explained we have a lawyer and that everything was checked overly thoroughly before sending it in and he told me what it was for and was insanely helpful. 

We did include the contents page! They couldn’t have missed it! No clue what happened

Some info to contact USCIS/NVC:

• The NVC phone number for K1 visas is: 603-334-0888
• USCIS online inquiries: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do
  • I selected "Case outside normal processing time"
  • FYI I haven't yet received a response to the inquiry I submitted here
• The USCIS phone number is: 800-375-5283
• USCIS recently changed their phone menus and made it VERY hard to get an agent on the phone. I used the advice on this site to get through to a person: https://gethuman.com/phone-number/US-Citizenship-Immigration-Service-USCIS
  • Get to a live person fastest: Press 1 for English, then 1, then 2, then 2. After the final 2, press # each time it prompts you to enter a number. You will need to do this three times.

Here on VJ they have created a spreadsheet where couples have added their RFE information and it makes for a good primer while you are waiting for your RFE.

The original is the copy you receive in the mail. Read it carefully and answer with what they are asking for. You don't have to do anymore then what is outlined within the RFE. Sign the RFE and make copies of everything you'll put in the return envelope. These copies will remain yours. Seal the envelope and return to the address that is specified in the RFE. Be sure to send it back so that you can trace it. Be sure your response is returned in the allotted time contained within the RFE.

OMG!!!! We got the informed delivery today!!!

It said 18 January! We have NOA1 29 August!!

Just got APPROVED today on Case tracker app and USCIS app, 150 days since NOA1. Very excited and estatic! Is there any next steps besides the ones Greenbaum sent me for the Dominican republic? Thanks for all the help guys

The VJ Moderation team has received a dozen-plus requests from one recent poster to remove her posts and the replies to them.  We'll do this for one or two posts when there's good reason (wrong information, personally identifying information, Terms of Service violation, etc.), but not for no reason.  The posts and replies for which removal was requested are normal in content, and the information is in fact educative for others.  Therefore, no action is necessary and none will be taken.

 

Please bear in mind that overreporting can be considered spamming, which is a Terms of Service violation.

So my fiance (petitioner) tried calling again today to try and get our RFE read to us and he got the same response again "wait until you receive the RFE in the mail" so I dunno what those who have been successful have been doing but I guess we will just have to be patient because they say the same thing every time. 😓

Some of the agents are so ignorant   And its hard to get someone good
