I just thought of this but I got a divorce a few days after I was engaged to my new fiancé. I had been separated from my ex for only 4 months. I gave the USCIS a copy of my official divorce decree. My fiancé and I have met in person 4 times in 7 months and gave lots of photo/chat evidence as well as affidavits from friends and family talking about our relationship and letters of intent. Will my prior relationship raise any red flags? 😕 I never thought I’d get into another relationship so fast but we’ve been together a year now. He’s English and lives in England. Thanks!

We were approved with relationship overlapping my marriage by 5 months out of 8 overall before filing. We have other issues that may raise red flags as well, so we front-loaded heavily and also drafted a detailed but firm letter of how we met to explain our circumstances. Approved without an RFE. Embassy is a different thing but also doable.

Im so glad to read this because the same thing happens with my guy. The electricity goes out or he does not have enough internet to video chat. He does not have money to buy the best phone and we speak different languages...im happy everyone else gets alot of facetime and special time...but its not like that for every1 and it makes the process more stressful.😥

It seems we are very much in the same situation.  The phone service where my fiancé lives is extremely expensive.  The jobs there don't pay very much & it's always a challenge to make ends meet.  We used to chat on imo apps & all of a sudden that has been terminated from using it in his country.  To keep me from having a major attack, I have to keep myself busy.  MsNina, you are always giving words of encouragement to others, here on VJ, & from all of us, we appreciate it.  Please know that I feel your pain & wish you a speedy process.  It will all work out at the end.

The case right after ours got touched yesterday... One digit after... but not ours yet. I’m glad to see someone here received good news yesterday. I hope today is full of good news for everyone. Good luck everyone!

You and I are in the same boat.  Several cases close to my number have been approved.  You'd think Canada would be a quickie one! Sadly, that's not how it works...

My RFE reply just was dropped off at the post office so hopefully they update they received it today or tomorrow! Hopefully an approval in the next week or two 🤞

I wouldn't count on anything soon. Most here that have received it's been 2-4 weeks. But, your mileage may vary. I hope for a speedy processing path forward for you guys.

They are connected to our country, and we have access to all their DMV records and criminal info! It’s all connected! It should be easy as pie. It’s extremely frustrating! Just waiting and watching... watching and waiting... impatiently.

Maybe this will help in the explanation as to "why". https://archives.fbi.gov/archives/news/testimony/the-fbis-visa-name-check-process

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

I suppose so! I've been lucky already just getting the rfe in the mail so quickly. Only 5 days.
