recently received our interview letter which indicates that we must schedule a medical appointment. On the website it also shows that we must schedule a finger print appointment. Tried to schedule but site is asking me to pay a visa fee of $265 and complete DS 160. I am comfused, is this all part of the process? we already submitted visa application with nvc and completed ds 260. why another visa fee and ds 160?

Did you perhaps select "Non-immigrant" ?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

it doesn't even ask. As soon as we log in, it shows that is a k3 and asks us to pay the fee and complete ds160.

I'm thinking it might be a fee the embassy in the Dominican Republic charges 😩. Its all so confusing. I was thinking we would just confirm medical appointment and fingerprint, attend our interview and be done with this long process.

I'm not very familiar with K-3s since they are obsolete, and almost never get past the USCIS stage......but a K-3 is a non-immigrant visa.....have you read this?
