Hi, what if the quality of the beneficiary passport photo does not have a glossy touch to it as my American passport photo? Is that a red flag or will everything be ok for that photo to be used? I had fedex size the photo from email but it did not have a glossy finish to it as mines did. The picture being emailed was that acceptional or is their a better way? Also, do anyone know a legit way in Brazil for those passport photos to be mailed ? I think that my fiancé was scammed when she tried to do this before. A express mailing would be best.

My fiancee got the image file from where she had the pictures taken, emailed it to me, and then I had it printed at walmart.com for $8 (the first few places I looked at for online photo printing didn't have an option for passport-style photos). Though if you've got a good printer and photo paper, you could print it yourself.

 

I don't know if that would work for you, but it's a lot faster than international mail (and usually cheaper and more reliable, too).

I concur with @DaveAndAnastasia as my fiancee' emailed me her picture from the place where she took it and then  I printed it on photo paper on my printer and it turned out great.  We were approved on 8/9/2018 so it is definitely ok to do it this way if you can.

I did the same as the others.  Got the pic file emailed and then went up to the UPS store and had them create the photos.

Have her go to a decent photo place and have her picture taken - malls will usually have at least one place. She’s can choose if it’s glossy or matte there as well. Then she can scan it and send it out to you via email and you can go to Walgreens or any other suggestion the previous posters gave and have it printed. 

 

If youre set on getting them by mail, have her go to correios and send them. There is a express option, just like USPS. I have sent packages and letters before from there and they got here just fine. It may take a while, but I’ve never had a problem.

The photo paper I used was glossy.  You should be able get glossy photo paper.  After printing her photo I couldn't tell any difference between the quality of hers and the one I had done for mine at the post office.

Amazon has lots of different brands of glossy photo paper - https://www.amazon.com/Photo-Quality-Paper/b?ie=UTF8&node=1069738

 

I'm sure if you didn't want to wait on it to come in Walmart, Staples, Office Depot, or any office related store would have them in stock.
