My wife (beneficiary on my I-130 petition) is currently unemployed, The question says - "if the beneficiary is unemployed, type or print UNEMPLOYED in item 51a". I have done that, and left 51b-51i blank, but item 52 says "Date Employment Began". OK to also leave this blank (since my wife is unemployed)?

I am filling out the form I-130 for my 6 yr old stepson. Obviously the part which says "Provide Information about the beneficiary's spouse and children" does not apply to him. Is it ok if I put "NO SPOUSE, NO CHILDREN" in the first field and leave the rest of this section (Person 1 to Person 5 ) blank? Alternately should I put N/A's in all the Person 1-5 Last name fields?

Just write "N/A" in all fields.

Any field that does not apply to him, just write N/A.

Ok.. I just put N/A in the first field of each item and left the rest of the fields blank. Do I need to put N/A in each field of each item (I have read in a couple of places that its not necessary, but am confused about it.. )?

I would suggest putting N/A in any field in which you don't input data, if the field allows it (the state field probably doesn't, but the rest should). Absolutely no harm in that.

You can put N/A on each field or just in the first one.   You already made clear the beneficiary is single and they will see it's a 6 year old boy.

Ok, thank you!!

In the case of "Other Names Used", ive been told here that "NONE" is a better response than N/A. So does the below look ok, or could it cause confusion?

I would still use the N/A. Others will leave it blank or write None. I don't think they will give you issues for this. I'm from the party that thinks nothing should be left blank in order to avoid delays for them thinking I forgot to answer this.
