I'm checking for a friend. I also went through this process, but it's been a few years and can't remember exactly. So can someone point me to the process after the I-129 F/NOA2 is approved. They got their approval on 7/31/2018 so it's been 16 days since forwarded to the NVC correct? When and how will they get their case number. Should they just call and then follow up to track it on the way to the embassy?

My K1 was back in 2014 and not sure if there have been changes in the process and the details are fuzzy anyways.

Thanks!

I got an e-mail from the NVC when it was moved to the embassy with my case number etc., but was able to call before that so I could book my medical and get the ball rolling on everything else. They already had my fiance's email but they added mine too so I could also be notified. I didn't get notification in the mail until about a month after the embassy received it.

OK, here is what we got. There seems to be some kind of steps (6) required there, but I believe this is just a standard message and there is nothing to be done. Correct? They must simply wait for the case to be sent to the embassy and they can schedule the interview. His finace is working on her police bg and medical stuff. They have not received any emails yet
