So, most of the time I was visiting my fiance we stayed in apartments that I rented through Airbnb. Anyone familiar?

I paid through the website as this is the requirement. And the only receipt you receive this way is off the web which shows the dates and the amount and it says 2 travelers - my name and my fiance's name. I have this printout from each place we stayed at. They did send my fiance a confirmation to his email. We did this for each place we stayed at.  It really isn't that credible, though, now that I think about it. This is quite frustrating.

How did you all handle your lodging receipts for evidence? It seems like lodging receipts are quite secondary.

I used airbnb receipts as well - I  just print the receipt page showing both names, and if you have a review from the host (especially if they name both of you!) add that too because it helps show you actually used the reservation. Another thing you can do for future airbnb stays is include the initial itinerary page that has photos of the place, and then take photos together where the itinerary photos were taken. Paired up with other photos any other receipts for travel or purchases showing all the same dates and places is even more credible!

I can't imagine that this topic could create any problems/RFEs. I had to stay in hotel for every visit because he's military and lives in the barracks and doesn't have an appartment. But for those couples where an appartment exists (either the beneficiary's or the petitioner's, depending on who's visiting who) - they don't have to prove that they stayed in that appartment together for the visit. And they can't prove it really. They also don't have AirBnB or hotel receipts, so I wouldn't overthink it too much. What's important is that you prove that you have met within the two years and this is best proven by pictures together, passport stamps, I-94, flight tickets, etc. I can't imagine that a missing AirBnB receipt is going to cause a denial if you have everything else.

Yes I have everything else. I began thinking about how pretty much everything can be forged. We go through all of this trouble to document everything but even hotel and apartment stays really are not credible. Air line tickets and passport stamps are the most credible. I think airline tickets when both of you travel together are the most credible to be honest.  You have to show I.D.to the check-in counter to get your ticket which puts you in the same place at the same time.

i won't over think it. We've traveled by plane together a few times. I'll put my money on that 😂
