Hehe...part of the reason I got so excited was.... last time I asked about timing....I got these two replies from  folks that had just been through it... :

We did that too fiancee called but they dont have our case yet and it might take 7 weeks they said..My fiancee waited for two weeks and call again but receive the same answer ...2 days after i decided to email them..then after 5 days i received an email from them with our case number..thats a total of about 3 weeka from approval date which was May 23.. Just hang in there you might have it probably anytime next week.

For my timeline I received approval 7-3-2018, it arrived at NVC 2 weeks later on 7-17-2018, then case number was assigned on 7-19-2018, then it left NVC on 7-24-2018. So you should call for your case number on or around 8-13-2018. early next week you should have your case number, by next Friday I would think would be the for sure should have it date. It is all different for each case, but you should be seeing it really soon.

Can these possibly be correct?  If so....I have hope...hehehe.

Yes that timeline is possible .. like said you need to be patient    Usually takes a couple weeks just for the case file to reach NVC

MNL# isn't required to pay the visa fee.   They can't recreate the profile or schedule the appt until they have their MNL#

I was thinking that in my head but it didn't get that to the paper. I knew one of the steps required the MNL#. I couldn't get pass why he was rushing the process where there would be a case that he makes a mistake which leads to a setback. As we always say "trust the process".

No need for the invoice number.

Did you pay the visa fee earlier?    Now you can get the interview scheduled!

Strap in, this can be a fast ride!  ;)

Hehe....NO..."I put the brakes on"....hehhe… I will have her do that on Monday or Tuesday.

Can I schedule interview.... before the Manila Embassy....actually receives the file....or do I still need to wait on that...?  (I suppose I could always cancel and reschedule....if it looks like they won't have the file....in time for the interview.)  Last time I looked..... Interviews could be had....about 10 days out.... Hehehe....I don't want to get the cart in front of the horse again... :)

Yes you can go to the dashboard to schedule the interview before the embassy receives the case file .. just allow a few weeks for the the case file to arrive when selecting the interview date.

Don't think about cancelling and rescheduling too many times... that can cause issues.     Pick a date a couple weeks out.   If you schedule the interview too soon and the case file hasn't arrived the embassy will not allow the interview  .. causing you to reschedule.

That would be a "tight fit" right at the two week mark.  As long as the case file is at the embassy and you have READY status on the CEAC website by interview day, all is good.  No one can predict exactly when the case file will be at the embassy and ready, most take about 2 weeks some more.    You will have to follow your gut on this ...

That week....I think Monday is a Philippine holiday....Meaning we would have to start at St Lukes….on a Tuesday... Will that jam things up (make them more crowded)… at St Lukes….because it is a 4 day week?
