Hi guys,

We are still waiting on our NOA2 (Feb 2018 filer) but I'm trying to get our I-134 ready with our supporting income documents.

My fiance is active duty military and is being sent away on this coming Monday 8/20 for almost 6 weeks!! Hence me scrambling to get these docs ready incase we get an NOA2 approval while he's away.

I'm finding conflicting information for what is needed for him to prove his income. As he tells me it's not as straight forward getting a signed letter from his employer lol.

Is there any Active Duty Military on here that filed recently that could give me an example of what they sent to their fiance along with the I-134.

He is in the Marine Corps.

So far we've got -

His personal statement of Military Compensation (PSMC) this calculates all his pay, bonuses, taxed and untaxed money received.

Last years W2

As many recent pay stubs as necessary

Bank statement (showing last 12 months of deposits)

Along with a fresh new Letter of Intent to Marry.

Is that enough?

Any help / feedback / suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

He needs copies of his LES (leave and earnings ststements) and his tax returns showing he makes 100% the poverty guidelines.  The LES is to show current income.

Doesnt need bank statements unless he is making under the poverty guidelines.  His LES will show taxed and untaxed income.

Dont bother with the new intent to marry until 30 days before the interview.

Remember active military just need 100% the current poverty guidelines which he will make anytime after his first year in.   ;)

If he still wants/needs a VOE letter, he can try through his MyBiz (if he has one) - https://www.dodea.edu/Offices/HR/employees/employmentverification.cfm, since it's emailed, have him send it to himself.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate you taking the time to reply!

How many LES would you suggest be bring?

Are those along with the PSMC and last years tax return enough?

When I submitted our documents I included the last end-of-month LES'.

I also typed a short memo with about three lines that pretty much said how long i'd been in and what my annual income is, I then had my commander sign it.

Mybiz is usually for DOD Civilians not AD. He would just need his LES and W2.

Good Afternoon Adrii,

I'm currently an active duty Marine (Sergeant) filling out this 1-134. I had a few questions for you regarding what you ending up doing for the success of this document!

1. Did your husband end up just using 1 of his last LES's and the previous years tax return for supporting documents?

2. Did he include any bank statements?

3. In Part 3 there is a question regarding Life Insurance (7.a.) "I have life insurance in the sum of"  did he just write down $400,000.00 as that is a active military members max for life insurance.

Please let me know, any help would be great value! thank you and have a good day.
