Hey guys,

My fiance is from San Antonio, Texas, and we've been planning to get married there as soon as my K1 is approved and I'm able to travel. We even got a friend ordained for us so his name will be in the official papers too and make it all even more special. But now my fiance got a new job offer in Denver and is relocating on Monday. My question is, is it ok for me to travel to San Antonio, get married there, and then promptly go back to CO and file my AOS from there? Would that affect the visa in any way?

Also, is there anything else I should be aware of regarding his relocation that may affect this process? We will update the address with USCIS of course.

Doesn’t matter which state you get married, as long as it is within the US and the 90 days. The moving will only affect your waiting time for AOS, as it is dependent on the field office on your area

Sounds good, thanks :)

Texas has a 3 days waiting period to get married after getting the licenses.

So take that into account and plan accordingly.....

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

Nope no issues!  Enjoy your wedding! Welcome to Colorado (soon)!

Thank you! We’re very excited about his new job, we visited Colorado last year and knew straight away we wanted to build our life there 😊😊

Just be careful, it's horribly expensive to live in the Denver area right now.  Rent prices are super high and houses aren't much better.  But at least there is a good job market! :)
