Hi guys,

I was hoping someone would be able to help.

My interview is scheduled for Thursday morning, and the embassy website says I am required to bring the following :

'You are required to obtain the original documents or certified copies, and one photocopy (with the exception of your passport and photographs) of the following documents for yourself and each family member applying for a visa '

Do I need to photocopy each document one by one to bring to the interview (ACRO, Affidavit of Support, NVC letter, DS-160)? As this seems like a lot to photocopy.

The requirement is pretty straightforward. Bring your originals and a copy of each to your interview.

There is a list of documents under that paragraph. Not on the list-NVC letter, DS-160.

Basically if you want an original document back like your birth certificate, divorce decree, military record, employer letter, they say to bring a photocopy.

You should bring the confirmation of appointment, paying, submission of DS-160, and courier arrangements, but those are things you can easily print off again, so no need to bring two of each. Think in terms of of original personal documents.

In practice they have not actually wanted the photocopies for a couple of years now.

Thank you all for your help!

Had my interview yesterday and I was approved! yay!

I brought the photocopies just in case they asked for it, but they didn't. They checked my original documents and gave them back to me at the end.
