Nope.  Requirements for filing the I-129F are:

1.  Having met in person within the past two years

2.  Both parties are free to marry at the time of filing the I-129F

3.  Both parties complete a Letter of Intent to Marry

Proposals and rings are not required. ;)

If they do ask about this during the interview.. best answer is the honest answer.

Ok, thank you Mr Hank! :) I'll slap this to his face! Lol He's too paranoid.

I completely agree with you there. I saw a big difference in 2004 when they took our regular Humvees and added the 1st Generation of uparmor onto the Humvees. They had to add suspension just for the vehicles to handle that lite armor then but the driving sucked ### literally, and then tried to maneuver them on ship was the worst during deployment.  The 1stGen was horrible because they had the armor with literally 1-2 inch long holes for the bolts to go through so that they could maneuver them to get them to fit right. We then had to go out and personally buy goop to plug the holes due to the NC weather. Also the AC system was inadequate to say the least, and I found that out in KSA, Kuwait, and Iraq. This doesn't take into account that I had a NCO as a A Driver who turned off the A/C everytime I turned it on in Kuwait because "he wanted to conserve the A/C".

The 4th Gen uparmor saved my ### in 2007 or else I would have a legit Purple Heart and not having the Marines for one now due to having TBI due to a IED.

We got 'recycled' humvees so yea, we had one of the first generations of it. Even the civilians couldn't fix the AC's because they described it as, there is a filter in the cabin, but the actual intake from the outside has none so the system literally just gets clogged with sand. And I didn't mind driving but man that was hot, the engine heat came right through the floor and engine wall area so was like a furnace sitting there on patrol with the engine running haha.

It's a "he" lol and he's from Cebu. Well, we are both from Cebu, I migrated here to the US 9 years ago. I was thinking to go there but might as well save the money cos I'm thinking to go to the Philippines one last time before he comes here lol

Pasenya na. We highly suggest you to do that because it does help some.

      This is process can be a strain on the nerves for sure.

As for being at the interview, I was their with my wife.  Was it necessary ?  No.  Did it make a difference in her getting the visa?  No.  But I truly enjoyed the experience.
