Hmm they have really put themselves in a pickle. It's fine the case was reopened. But the child is in the US. She will have no legal status after her tourist visa expires, which is in 2.5 weeks. And we all know USCIS doesn't work that fast. I wonder what will happen because the parents obviously are not going to take her back to Peru, even though this is probably the safest thing to do. The sense of entitlement is definitely infuriating. All they had to do was wait, like all the other successful adoption cases. Smh. And not only might it encourage other people to pursue this method, but it is further perpetuating the general public's gross misunderstanding of the US legal immigration system.
