Hello everyone! Quick question:

I've been married to my wife for over 2 years now. She is an american citizen and she was offered a job about a year ago. We decided for her to move to New York and that I will follow soon after everything back home was settled. I am ready to move now, but I want to know if I Can I apply for an adjustment of status even if I was admitted to the US on a B2 visa?

If the answer is yes, should I submit the application right away? Should I wait a couple of weeks?

Are you in the US now? If so you can submit AOS whenever you’re ready. If you’re not in the US at the moment you cannot come here on a tourist visa and file for AOS. That’s immigration fraud. You must apply for CR1 and wait 12-16 months.

According to the OP he is not in the US so will need to co the IR1 route.
