Hi all,

I sent my AOS package last Friday (USPS tracking shows delivered already). And just today the town hall lady who recorded my marriage certificate called to say she made a mistake that I wasn't even aware of lol

On my certificate, the date of marriage is correct (July 20, 2018); however, the recorded date is mistaken as June 23, 2018, which is even earlier than my entry date July 3, 2018.

Will this be a problem? Or USCIS only cares about the marriage date? Is there anything I can do for now or should I just wait to see if I'll get an RFE?

(The lady is about to correct the certificate and write an affidavit to claim her fault)

Appreciate if anyone can help!

all you can do is wait and see if they send you and RFE. they will find the discrepancy, and if not....at your interview take the paperwork with the affidavit and present it to them. nothing that you have done wrong, but maybe an infopass can help? that way they are aware of the mistake from the court clerck

Thanks so much! I'll wait at least until receiving NOA1. Since I also include marriage certificate in I-765 & I-131 (so as to prove my name change), Infopass sounds doable to correct all applications altogether.
