Okay thank you! Fingers crossed second time is the charm. This has been a stressful process.

Send your information ASAP. Remember that the September 11th date is approaching and with that, change to the RFE procedure. Starting September 11th, there will no longer be RFEs - just denials with the ability to reapply and the clock will start over. Get all your paperwork in so it can be processed as soon as possible.

If he quit his job, is he currently applying or has applied for unemployment? He may need to provide that as well since he cannot sponsor you without having a job but unemployment/ss benefits can fill the gap. Best of luck to you both.

He isn't! Definitely need a co sponsor at this point. Thank you!

Unless you mean specifically if they fail to include the affidavit of support, RFEs are not going away... the new policy just gives more discretion to the adjudicator to DECIDE on RFE or flat out deny in the case something critical is missing. RFEs can still be issued where the adjudicator sees fit. Unless I colossally misread the update?

No, I re-read it and you're 100% correct - they still can decide to issue RFEs.

But wow. Another amendment. It's always something!

Does anyone suggest using two sponsors or should I just use one? I have two people willing to sponsor me.

There's no reason to try to use 2 as you only need 1 qualifying sponsor. Sponsors cannot combine income (only family members living in the same household via an I-864A).

Okay thank you. I didn't want to combine income only show that I have multiple sponsors if that would help my case. I'll just use one.

A beneficiary can only have one Joint Sponsor.

There is no way for two people to be Joint Sponsors for one beneficiary.  You can not have multiple Joint Sponsors.

As per the USCIS website, under instructions for I-864, you can have up to two joint sponsors as long as they're individually making enough to support their household size + myself. On the form you actually have to indicate whether or not you're the only joint sponsor or if you are the first or second of two joint sponsors.

The two JS rule applies only when there is more than one beneficiary.

A second JS would only be acceptable if there were derivatives - other family members.  Derivatives can have a different JS from the primary beneficiary.

That's interesting. As per my research I read that I'm able to use two but now learned that it's practically unnecessary to do so as one is sufficient for me. I'll be using one. Thanks!

You are not able to use two JS.  While there are two people who are willing to be your JS, you can only have one JS.

Pointing this out helps other people who mistakenly think they can have two JS for one beneficiary.
