We are preparing as we wait for our case number.  My wife said that she read that the original I-864EZ is presented at the interview. Is this correct? Do we send a copy to NVC? Thank you.

No that’s incorrect. You have to send the original with supporting income  documents etc. That’s your AOS package. I made copies for myself and scanned them to my husband so he can have them since I will not be attending the interview once a date is given.

You will be sending two packages in one envelope. The AOS and the IV packages. Do not send these packages separately. Label each envelope AOS and IV. I indicated on mine the NVC case number / petitioner and beneficiary name. The AOS is the reference to the petitioner and the IV is reference to the beneficiary.

I sent mine before I paid my IV fee since the website at the time was down due to maintenance. I had spoke to a NVC rep and she said to send it not to wait to make the payment. So when it was time to complete the DS-260 they already have it. Just make make sure you include your cover letter / checklist with the package and label each paper on the upper right corner with your NVC case number.
