Ok guys....

Can someone point me to a link where I can find a detailed list of ALL the documents I need for the steps FOLLOWING the I-130???

This is really important because my husband and I are leaving for a vacation in America and Egypt in a few days and we want to make sure that we get EVERY SINGLE necessary document while we are in our home countries because this will be our last chance to be in our home countries before filing.

I have tried to find a link to this information but so far I've not been successful and the information I have found is conflicting.

Thanks again guys!!!

Emily

Together we have a beautiful son, born on Christmas day 2007

Filing DCF (IR-1) from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia:

July 30, 2008 - Filed I-130 at Riyadh Embassy

August 3, 2008 - I-130 Approved

The embassy let us delay the interview so that my husband would have time to finish his work contract.

November 3, 2008 - Final Interview, APPROVED!!!

The embassy let us wait until late January to submit the passport for the visa so that DH could finish his work contract.

February 9, 2009 - VISA IN PASSPORT!!! (DH's birthdate wrong on visa, embassy keeps it for correction - gah!!!)

February 15, 2009 - CORRECTED VISA IN PASSPORT!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!!

Hi,

I assume you've looked at this page:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=i130guide1

This gives the documents needed for every step of the CR-1/IR-1 path.

One other thing--apparently it's possible for your husband to be refused entry into the US, unless he can prove that he has every intention of leaving after your vacation. This will be up to the officer at the border, who will have to be convinced that your husband truly intends on leaving. They'll be suspicious that, since you've filed the I-130, it's your intention to stay together in the US till the proceedings are approved. (Or rather, they're afraid that he'll stay even if the proceeding are rejected.)

Here's a previous post that talks about this:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/lofivers...php/t48417.html

Hope this helps,

Walter

Thanks so much for the information Walter!

Actually, we are waiting until the DAY we return from our vacation to file the I-130 because I do now want my husband to be denied entry. I am pregnant and it is really important to me that my husband and I get to be together this summer with both of our families during this happy time...so, we decided to just wait a little bit and file after the vacation is finished. However, if it seems like I'm panicked about documents a bit prematurely it's because this vacation will be our only chance to gather all the necessary paperwork for the ENTIRE visa process since it will be our last trip to our home countries (hopefully) before immigration...

Thanks again for your thoughtful response.
