Were your 10 times to Mexico? If so, did you use your expired green card with extension letter to enter Mexico or your Mexico passport?

But specifically, will Mexico accept the extension letter for entrance into the country? We fly to Mexico this Tuesday and I am scared to death to be turned away once we get into Mexico.

Please let us know how you make out. My wife and I are headed to Mexico in a few weeks and curious how it will be entering with an expired GC and extension letter.

First i traveled  wt my expired green card and the letter....

then the letter got expired and I went to get my info pass (they took my green card) so I traveled only with the infopass (which it’s only a stamp on my passport) and it’s been like this the last 10 months actually last week I traveled and they’re very familiar with the situation

And all of these trips were to Mexico and that's what you used to enter Mexico?

The main question is entering Mexico and the documents they require.

Oh I’m mexican lol I don’t need anything but pretty much any country can go in w/o visa or paperwork you don’t need any type of extensions letters to go in... just your passport the green card it’s useless even unexpired

Did you see what else I posted?

US Residents: If your United States visa stamped on your passport already expired but you have an official document proving your legal status in USA, you must apply for a Mexican visa (I-797 A Forms, Advance Parole Forms, I-20 OR DS-2019 Forms won’t be accepted to entering Mexico), unless you have a valid Visa for any of the countries listed above (Canada, Japan, United Kingdom or Schengen area).

We just made it back from Mexico tonight. Flew out of DFW, no issue. Checking into the airline took slightly longer. No problem at border in Cancun. No problems flying back to the states either. Huge sigh of relief. NO VISA NECESSARY.

What airline did you fly? why did check in take longer?

We are flying to Cozumel out of DFW in two weeks on American. Curious if AA would be picky on the required documents.

We flew Spirit to get there and Sun Country coming back. The momentary delay in check-in was because the person at the counter wasn't sure what to put in their system as far as the expiry date. Each time, the person at the counter had to get their supervisor and ask for help, but the supervisors knew what to do.
